I am pretty confident that Jazz is gonna get done by HasTakTomy. They got the VW License, so I wouldnât be surprised that weâd see him in 2016.
Yeah but as good as their MPâs look they ainât real MP quality IMO. Prime was a real MP from a design perspective (even though the reviews have shown him to be a floppy mess, even the ko is better than TT/Hasbro version, better get that).
All the car bots so far look good to great, from certain angles. I canât stand how they have all these huge openings and gaps, that is not MP quality. And TT knows this, just look at their marketing pics from wheeljack for instance. In none of the pics did they ever show him from behind, till we saw the reviews. The huge open holes and fucked up feet from the back and side have no business in an MP figure.
I think the Datsuns might be the best MP cars to date, but even they have aesthetic features that donât belong in the MP line (it all started with the car bots that they stopped closing gaps and holes). Transformations are MP complexity but they donât have MP quality finish to the products.

I would agree that the MP Wheeljack and Bumblebee are on the lower end of the spectrum. While all these other 3P companies are out here turning some great products, HasTakTomy is working with the scale version of the real vehicle used as an alt mode for the MP stuff. Exceptions have to be made in the robot mode in order for the vehicle mode to be accurate (license worthy). Keep in mind that these KO/ 3P companies that basically reprint molds donât have to fully go through the design process like HasTakTomy does. While that MP-10 KO is great, the enhancements are just a slight size uptick in size, a pin added to the hand for keeping the friction joint finger solid, and better paint apps. They are trying to produce a great product, that follows âtoyâ regulations, and is still profitable.
The biggest problem of tthasbro is making concessions and sacrifices to bot mode instead of alt mode.
I agree. Iâd rather have a more solid robot than vehicle, but if you want that license, thatâs what has to happen.

People can say what they want, the Combiner Wars lineup (with the exception of Prime) is pretty solid. 3P still has more detail, but I am happy with what we got. Both Menasor and Superionâs thighs are the only real issues with the combiner as they make weird proportions. At least you can stand them with their legs straight compared to some of the 3P offerings.

Wildrider- Grey/red colors on a nice robot mode. Excellent. What Hasbro should have sold here imo
Motormaster. I love the black cab vehicle mode. The abrupt switch from white to black in robot mode is odd.
Equal to Hasbro:
Dead End looks more toon accurate in bot mode, but he lost his gold stripe.
Other than the 15 racing, Breakdown looks mostly the same.

I give them credit for attempting to paint the arms partly black to look like he has 6 wheels, but meh.
He needs more color IMO to break up the yellow. The headsculpt looks bland compared to the US version.
Iâm satisifed with Hasbros colors, but if this wasnt a giftset, I would buy the wildrider alone.
The Takara versions arenât that much more impressive in the case of Menasor and Superion. I am glad they come with the original team, but at a premium, I can skip it.

I got a friend of mine that does cakes like this. She was amazed at the level of detail.
I was looking to get the Optimus Prime PSX figure. I have no idea why that thing is so expensive. It shouldnât be $120. I could see 60-80, but that price it so much, especially being that is not that large of a figure.
Also, not sure about you guys, but I am warming up to Apollyon. I doubt MP Megatron (as a gun) is ever going to happen. HasTakTomy needs to just make a non-transforming version of the character.
