Sorry I took so long. I had a pipe burst in my cieling from a freeze w\e had and was putting the finishing touches on it. Wanted to get that done before I got engrossed in the new MP.
Star Saber is huge. The figure rivals in size only to Ultra Magnus and MP-01

The thing is though it feels a little more toy-esque than other MP figures. It’s big, but doesn’t carry the heft in most of the body. There is die cast on the figure, but its more so in the lower legs. The one thing that separates this figure from most other MP releases is that the figure has very little paint. The coloring that you see is mostly molded plastic. Anyone that has MP Sideswipe understands why that’s a great solution. HasTakTomy is getting better and better with these releases. So let’s break Star Saber down
Brain of Courage -
It’s tiny, as in smaller than the Spike figurine that came with MP-10 tiny. Yet the figure is painted so much better. You can actually fit the “Brain of Courage” inside of MP-10 as a rider. The colors are right and while they bleed over in some places, they get it down well enough that it can be easily overlooked

Saber -
It’s virtually a deluxe size MP addition. For the extreme collector, I can see someone buying two to display the character both ways. Solidly detailed, and a fair amount of articulation. If it had a waist swivel and could look up and down, it would have hit that sweet spot. However, they included the one odd gimmick from G1 into this figure, that kinda got me giddy:
Yeah, The Brainmaster fits in the chest and the most useless TF gimmick in the lore works. He can still turn his head, but that’s about it.

Star Saber -
The mode that most of the buying public will keep this guy displayed as. When I say that he may be the most accurate MP release to date, this has to be it. It’s huge and just has a commanding presence. This to me is if a Gundam Mashup was done with Optimus Prime. Not only is it poseable in the sense of most other MPs, it also has a slight ab crunch, ab rocker, and a forward shoulder joint that allows him to do two handed sword poses. He also does have up and down head movement. The transformation into this mode is a 1:1 experience taken from Transformers Victory (Head covering the other figure’s head and all).

TLDR Version -
It’s the a well executed MP figure that albeit simple in sculpt hits all the marks with very little compromise of features and form.
