They won’t. They’ll probably be all store exclusives. The problem with the iGear set is that they did it better IMO.

I know this isn’t related to TFs but I hope it’s not a problem to post this here:

This year I am helping my girlfriend’s team out and operating as a Team Captain for the 2014 Palmetto Health Race/ Walk for Life. It gives me a chance to raise money for the Palmetto Health Breast Center and increase awareness about the importance of early detection of Breast Cancer.

New Clips for Robots in Disguise.

This shown will be great for kids. I can see that it may leave little to be desired for the older crowd. Only not in the group i may consider buying is Sideswipe.

Yeah, I am kinda disappointed at the new show. Once again, on Earth, once again with some meddling humans because we all need to have a human perspective shoved down our throats. sigh. Grimlock looks very unimpressive. His voice sounds like Predaking’s.

In the sneaker world its GREAT for new colorways and can re-invigorate old classis (I still want YotD AF1s -

But you can’t overdo it, and I’m not sure about doing it with TFs. At most I’d do 1 decepticon and 1 autobot, and change it up each year

I don’t know man, I mean YOTH Prime came out last year. If it wasn’t for the gold, I honestly would have copped it. There is no need for another Optimus. Soundwave is decent, but that clear plastic . . . . . .

Oh, like I said, they have to swap it out.

If you do Prime one year, do Megs the next. Do Grimmlock, then Starscream. Rotate characters and pick a second character that either directly clashes with the theme or is perfectly suited for the theme.

Transformers is just too much Optimus Pr0n in general, I’ve ahd to accept that as a Megatron guy (the Decepticons just had cooler shit man haha), its Prime or bust. Other people randomly get love, but I’m sure Optimus has 2-3 times the alternates/re-issues of any other transformer.

I’m an Optimus Fanatic and I agree. This new RID series has Optimus actually dead and he still won’t go down. I really want Hasbro to give the other characters (besides Bumblebee as of late) a chance to shine. I agree with your rotation idea. Makes perfect sense and the line doesn’t get stale. Hell, the YOT__ releases have had some version of Optimus Prime.

YOT Snake - Energon Optimus & Omega Supreme
YOT Horse - MP Optimus Prime and Supreme Cybertron Starscream
YOT Goat - G2 Laser Optimus Prime and MP Soundwave

Prime is the cash cow for Hasbro. He’s the Cybertronian Superman. However, I am sure that the group that this line is intended for didn’t ask for this.

Pumpkin spice optimus? I don’t think so.

IMO, I can only see that mold as Black Convoy/Scourge from RID . I know it originated in G2 as Laser Optimus which would have been better than the YOTG as well.

They need to wise up. You have to diversify your cash cows as much as possible. Growing up, Iron Man was NEVER a ‘fan favorite’ or mega popular. Playing outside as kids, no one was Ironman, but now? My son asked me to make an IronMan suit. At the same time he wants Hulk toys and wolverine toys and Spiderman toys…all with hte same level of interest (or close to it). I’m honest - I’m a very casual TF fan, never read a comic, only shows I’ve watched were the OG cartoon and Beast Wars/Beast Machines, I don’t own any TFs myself, etc. From my vantage point, pretty much the only Autobots are the ones from the movie…and Prime. Sure there are others, but focus is so much on Prime, that there is NO SHOT at liking anyone else except maybe Bumblebee. Going to Walmart or Target and looking at the toys, I’m like “Was he even in the movie?” or “Who’s this”, while they have humongous toys of Prime and Grimmlock…I’ve only seen a Megatron in store ONCE (like a 6" figure), and occasionally I come across Lockdown along with a few more bumblebees.

They know Optimus will sell, but they are forgetting the whole point…the TF Show was a 30 minute commercial for toys, but none of what they are pushing in the media makes you want to buy any other toys.
