I always like the Hot Rod design. the original toy was great I thought, its the Rodimus Prime figure that sucks worse than anything ever.
Design? good.
as a G1 animated character? shit balls.
as a non-G1 character? usually kinda cool.
I think people just hate the character because its easy to hate the character.
In other news, saw Leader Starscream at my walmart today. I reached in my pocket “FUCK!” I forgot to bring my money! I kinda want Battle-ops Bumblebee, whats the verdict on this one?
Found 3 MP Grimlocks at my local TRU earlier tonight. Everyone in the local collector network either bought one recently online or they already had the Takara version. Not sure how long they’ll last there, though. If anyone wants one, and assuming a scalper doesn’t get to them in the coming days, please let me know ASAP.
bbts got the 59.99 seacons in a couple days ago, I ordered mine up.

if only they would have made the chopper and tank new as well. the rotf ones really suck ass and look retarded. though the complete form is awesome (the fp one, rotf sucks ass). i wish fp made a complete combiner from scratch, just like that awesome devestator that tfp is making).
yea that rotf one (not the fp) looks like shit and it sucks dick with all those gay pink claw things. its as gay as those shitty mbay movie designs. no real feet or hands make bruticus look like a homo. tfp devastator is the shit.
yes I love them. I have rotf bed blankets, and pillowcases to match.
I also keep an autographed picture of michael bay above my bed too, just so I’m constantly reminded of his awe-inspiring work on the films before I go to bed, and when I wake up every morning. it also helps me keep the faith that he will continue making tf movies for the next several years. I think everyone should have one.
But I like most everything. It’s just entertainment to me and I don’t tend to get upset about things like that.
Anyway, I decided to sell my Animated figures. If there’s anything anyone needs to pair up with their Rodimus, let me know. I even have a Takara Blackout to sell ($45).

saw Leader Starscream at another walmart today alongside Jetfire. Jetfire was 30 so I was like hells yeah. took Starscream to the checkout, fucking thing rang up almost $50! is that the normal price or what? I was led under false pretenses!
The speculation about the toy(being able to transform from Hot Rod to Rodimus Prime) since the revelation of the initial design sketches emerged turned out to be true. This figure is truly more than meets the eye!
He stands a little shorter than MP Grimlock. I don’t know when it will become available to the market.
I think that the black outline on the chest flame decal looks a bit cheesy, but not too bad.
^ $200 is steep, but it’s starting to look a little more justifiable. Especially after seeing a painted version and the fact that you have a Hot Rod/Rodimus 2n1 combo. I remember as a kid imagining that the Rodimus figure could do this after I saw the movie. This is going on my short list of wants now. I just hope I’m not on deployment when it releases lol! I guess there’s always the pol at bbts for such occasions.
His robot mode looks awesome but he looks complete wank when transformed.
From a distance it looks just like his G1 toy, which is completely unacceptable considering the effort they went to with Starscream and Optimus.
The Hot Rod/Rodimus factor is a nice touch though, I gotta say.
The Hot Rod alt mode looks ten times better than that bloated RV mode. Not to mention that giant slot in the top of the vehicle’s roof. But whatever, the sports car mode is sleek as hell.
