What are the chances of me being successful at finding someone who can sell me a ‘gear or war’ Classics/henkei Inferno firetruck ladder? I tried ebay, but I really should start searching dedicated TF forum sites. The other weapon accessories in the Gear of War set are pretty cool, but I’m really only interested in the ladder specifically.
I’ve seen people on TFW selling the ladder as they were only interested in the guns and missiles.

This makes the show look more badass. The gripe I have is that it features characters that have relatively .05 seconds of screen time.

I doubt they go that far. I hope this “Prime” series has better filling than animated. The series wasn’t “too” bad however, the Beast Wars/ Beast Machines sagas have spoiled me. They were good enough for the kiddies, but had plotlines that the old school could get down on as well. It doesn’t even have to link to the past.
Honestly, I’m still waiting for a series where Optimus Prime is a “secondary” character and may be the CIC, but focus on another group of Autobots.
You’ll be waiting for ever. It just won’t happen. Optimus Prime is ‘Transformers’. Nearly everyone I meet who finds out I like TFs gives me the same line, “I really like those Transformers. I remember the show and everything. I had all the toys. Optimus Prime is my favorite. He’s the best!”
Animated is as close as you’ll ever get to having Prime NOT be the leader.
There’s just no reason ever to change the marketing from Hasbro’s perspective. They tried it in 1986 and people STILL complain about it.
We did get it in Victory and Zone.
I understand that. Without Peter Cullen, Transformers 1 and 2 would have been a far less stellar movie.
However, I’m not saying replace him, that is a clear mistake. It could be an offshoot of a series. Incorporate him as a “minor” character, but has a recurring role, such as key battle points, changes to direction regarding the Autobots, and devising battle strategies. When he shows up, SHIT IS GONNA GET REAL!

I just can never tell if people are really all up in prime’s nuts or if they just don’t remember the rest of the characters. Of course with some less-then-memorable movie designs that all kind of blend together, for the old casuals that come back again and watch the movies it’s like woo hoo it’s prime and the rest of those fuckers!
But I feel the other side too as a fan, prime is TF. Probably not my favorite character, but definitely the most iconic.
What I would hope for is a TF that would take on more human characteristics. A battle/war driven character that isn’t split 100% to either faction. Kind of a character that realizes they have to encompass both order and chaos to bring some kind of resolution to a never-ending battle. I think that would make a really nice storyline, but it may be too complex for bay’s autobot = good, decepticon = bad, tf=$$ winning formula.

i just started watching beast wars (currently on season 1 ep. 6), it’s actually a lot better than i thought it would be! after finishing up through season 3, what would you guys recommend? this is the first transformers series i’ve seen so i’ll try anything else.
I recommend NOT watching the follow up, Beast Machines.

yes it had a tree hugging-avatar ending…but it was still quality animation & char designs.
some of the new characters they introduced were pretty cool too…and I enjoyed the whole idea of sparks being reformatted into other tf’s.
but yeah as far as story goes, beast wars is probably as good as your going to get in any tf series
