Super-God Masterforce is another solid TF series. The best one from the G1 era. Haven’t watched Headmasters yet. Victory is pretty good, but nowhere near as good as Masterforce.
That’s what I thought Classics was going to be once I saw the line announced. I would be totally down for a TFG1 reboot of the animated series. By today’s standards I would hope it would be mostly CGi. Just stick to the basics: A-Bots Vs D-Cons that crash land their ship millions of years ago and wake up today and take on alt forms familiar to today’s vehicular designs.

To create a little fanboy out of you, just watch the first Season of The Transformers (Generation 1 BKA G1), From G1 Season 2 - War Dawn, Transformers: The Movie (1986), From G1 Season 3 and 4 - Five Faces of Darkness, Call of The Primatives, the Return of Optimus Prime and Rebirth (Part 1,2, and 3). That basically is the whole series IMO :lol:
The follow up series, Beast Machines, is a radical departure from the BW saga, in terms of design and character behavior, but overall well written. If you could just make small changes to the last 5 min of the series, it would have been EPIC!!!
From the Japanese front, I suggest Super God Masterforce and Transformers Victory.
Come on man, I appreciate it more after I got a little older. The premise was good, just not executed in the way we fans are used to. Personally, it still ranks 3rd out of the TF series put out.

I think Masterforce wrapped up a little better. I have a thing for rewatching Victory though. Star Saber, A Prime that’s not a “Prime”
Just to share a little Transformers nerd-ism of mine… Whenever I’m installing a program on my computer, and it shows the long ‘terms of agreement’ part where you have to click ‘accept’ in order to install it… in my head, Frank Welker’s voice always yells out, "I accept your terms, I accept!!!

I missed this due to the page break, but in response I’d say that Victory has Convoy in it for half the series. It was also really preying off the popularity of Gundam at the time.
Zone has one episode and a series of Magazine Prints. It was essentially a failure leading to Battlestars: The Return of Convoy.
I just went with a simple G1 transforming SFX for my Droid’s default ring tone.
Looks like the Japanese are getting some of the planned but non-released domestic figures for Transformers Animated.
I skipped Voyager Optimus, but I am gonna be all over Wingblade Prime.

hey guys, not tf related, but I thought I’d post here just cause I’ve seen a few of you posting in ff threads…and I know we’re all toy nerds.
toys r us is carrying the FFXIII play arts kai line. just found out randomly today while browsing through, and decided to pick up lightning on a whim and see how the line is.
since they’re fairly expensive (40 a pop), so I’ll post up a review and pics if anyone’s interested. let me know.
