Repaints were expected practically as MP Screamer was announced. While that’s a nice repaint up on EBay, I wonder if some of the custom wizards will make Dirge, Thrust, and Ramjet. THAT I’d like to see. (I might even bid on Dirge)
As for Masterpiece, I don’t see them making Megs unless it’s the tank. What I do see is maybe them reaching for other characters like Soundwave and Grimlock. C’mon, like people haven’t FLOODED their emails with demands for Grimlock…
cam347, should have listened to you. I picked up Titanium Megs, and he was god awful. I hope Scourge will be much better.

Great news, seeing as this is one of the last 4 takara reissues I need to be up to date.
Transformers Movie Megatron head to be changed from the one we saw a few weeks back. I think this is a good move, cause that version of Megatron had no resemblance (sp?) of any Megs we’ve seen.

not really… There is a strong rumor that Megatron’s Head design(spiky sphincter head) will be changed due to backlash.
Allegedly, we may see the 2nd trailer around/right before Christmas.

well i got Classics hot rod today. Only bumblebee and Prime left.
Im gonna get flamed, while he is a great looking fig, in both car/bot mode. I have some slight nitpicks
- the “pipes” on the left side dont align exactly, they begin on his arm and continue down his leg. however, there is apanel that flips doen to cover the lower leg.
- due to no 1, he doenst roll smoothly on a table unless you pull his rear wheels out.
- hes slighlty small
still, he has that light shine plastic (blue) that it is a bit easy to miss, the flip out saw blade from the movie , and a shooting missile. woot.
he is awesome, but a bit behind screamer, and astrotrain.
I just got the ‘Classics Reborn’ Optimus and Megs. I was really impressed with Megs, even though they made him into a Nerf gun. (it looks better in-person than some jpg) At first I decided to skip out on picking Megs up, but then I saw the actual toy and quickly changed my mind. Optimus is awesome as well.
The pipes should align, a lot of people are mistransforming him, which is probably what you did. Try putting him back to robot mode then back to car mode, even if you have to use the instructions, the pipes should align perfectly.
ok i got it now, its level on the ground.
i guess its the minute gap between the pipes of the arm and the panel that lloks weird to me still.

yeah Megs looks better in person . Hell the only part besides the colors(orange on the scope/cap) i dislike are the wings.
The green eyes are growing on me.
Hes a lot of fun and his tf sequence is clever even for a shellf0rmer.
Now, the real question …have anyone of you pick ed up the 6inch Titanium
G1 Scourge yet? If yes, what are your thoughts?
Titaniums are superrare in my neck of the woods and whenever i do find some, theyre all megatrons. NO jetfire/tcracker at all.

yeah cause Megatron sux. I just got a new shipment of them at work but I didnt think Scourge was out. Yet. I’ve only opened up Megs and Prime, Megs is layin in the package out of the box up in my closet and Prime got the honor to be displayed right next to my keyboard. Though I do own Jetfire and Thundercracker. I’d say they are slightly rare at work, we get a shipment of like each figure x 2, and they go slowly. Kids dont pick em up of course, dorks like us do lol
Well I finally got my Optimus Prime and Megatron classics in today, and Im not surprised how great these toys are. As soon as I opened up the gun to transform Megs, I knew I was in for a bit of a chore. Not NEAR as much when I tried to transform him back though :looney:
All in all, the entire first wave of Classics is a must have for any G1 fan. Im looking forward to the next wave, but NOT looking forward to Hasbro getting lazy with the repaints.

I got Bumblebee today. Hes damn good and has a “baby alternator” feel. His head design is awesome and his articuloation is great. The jetpack/wavecrusher is neat. Hes fun to tf. I honestly cant say anything bad about the figure. It would have been cool for him to have a traditional nonfiring gun.
Most people on the net are like “classicsBB is god tier” but i thought they were just overexaggerating. I m putting him at 9.25/10. a smidge above starscream.

wassup guys. . .my first post in this thread so i dunno know if u guys talk about the old transformer show. . .one of the things i remember from when i was a kid was when megatron turned into a gun and shot starscreen (i think) in the chest and there was a bigass hole in his chest w/ madd blood/oil (i dunno). . .anybody else remember that?
that was the first time i saw someone die in a cartoon/anime it was hot!
Didn’t happen. Galvatron killed Starscream. You may be confusing that with Starscream using Megatron to shoot several Autobots on the shuttle in the movie.
