I was disappointed at the end of Alts, too, but they weren’t big sellers…in large part because they weren’t kid-friendly AT ALL. Pretty sure the movie had little to nothing to do with it.
They’ll absolutely cancel the line and concentrate completely on the movie line. There’s probably a better chance the line will return once they stop cramming TF2 toys out there, but yeah, Classics 2.0 is dead (and that’s sad too).
Where did you register? I saw the noticed that people can register now but all I saw were guests and vendor registration.
And a follow-up to my last post: I understand that this is a business and that adult collectors aren’t the main focus of this product.
Yeah, but seriously, fuck the kids. They had Universe, Armada and Energon during that time to play with, didn’t they? Alt’s were designed for adult collectors, and Hasbro’s telling us it didn’t sel because it wasn’t kid friendly?
Fuck the kids. I never got Mirage or Hot Rod.
Hasbro also told us Classics didn’t sell, which I found odd since it came between Cybertron and the TFTM lines.
Finally got myself that plastic version of MP Voltron.
Here’s another custom I’ve started working on. I don’t know if any of you will even remember, much less know, who this character is.
Anyway, I plan on taking the mold in the picture and turning it into a transforming locomotive.
A cool feature on Sector70 dedicated to the guy that started the whole custom Devastator craze:
Sector70’s First Annual Custom Of the Year - Devastator by Ptitvite!
Note: You may need to register, but it’s well worth it!
so since animated got canceled does that mean we won’t be getting a figure of Dai Atlas?
Thanks for the link, Sat. I was checking out some of those customs before I came into work. Those customs are really intense! BattleCat was pretty sweet.
I found a copy of the new War Within Omnibus @ Border’s Book Store. Got about 1/4 the way through during my lunch break - looks pretty good. I kinda’ skipped this story and now realize it’s pretty gopod (so far). This continues directly off of the Megatron Origin story, right?
All the good stuff gets cancelled…
FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK inhales FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK!!!
Damnit, Animated has very quickly become one of my favorite saturday morning shows ever, for many many many reasons.
They’d better release some kind of box set for the series. All I see in stores right now is one measly DVD with the first episode.
I hope the third season does well and that it goes out with a bang. The people who worked on it should be proud.
The face on the Wreck-Gar toy looks really well done.
Satomiblood: Great stuff man. As a kid I always dreamed of making my own toys. I can’t believe there are people who actually do just that, and pretty damn well too. Awesome stuff!

Thanks.
1 of 3 things will happen (assuming Hasbro/Takara even put together a prototype of the mold to begin with):
[]Dai Atlas gets released as an exclusive (convention, online, whatever)
[]Dai Atlas gets released under the Universe line (unless this line gets cancelled as well)

Years from now, you’ll see photos and an eBay listing for the prototype mold
As far as I know, Arcee is still getting released, which is good because I want to give those 2 swords she has to Jazz.
Got my plastic MP Voltron in the mail. It’s definitely a good investment. The plastic is good and the individual lions are pretty well-detailed. A lot of people that own the diecast version say this isn’t a downgrade in the slightest. It’s $50, good quality, and you can actually pose it since it’s lighter. It comes with a sword and giant shuriken and the box is pretty neat too. I’ll have to take pictures later.
I am disappointed that it doesn’t have the open and shut cockpits from the original or the individual lion weapons, but it’s still a very nice piece and worth the $50.
Nice to see people create such awesome customs, didn’t expect something like Battlecat
Speechless…
Hadn’t seen much of the toyline, but saw some recently.
Wasn’t impressed with most of them, but really liked the Grimlock and Swoop toys.
Can’t say I’ll be too upset to see the series end. The only series I’ve liked since the end of G1 (including all the Japanese stuff) has been the Unicron Trilogy.
I’m looking forward to that Grimlock. Got the rest of the mp’s except for a couple repaints like Magnus and the Japanese Starscream. Hasbro ver > Greenscream. I just need to decide what I’m willing to sacrifice from the shelves to bring the price range down to something reasonable.
Has anyone here bought any of the Revoltech Transformers? Sorry if this has been brought up in the thread already but if not they are pretty cool poseable toys that stand at about 4". Their design follows closing to Generation 1 Pat Lee style…
I have Prime, Ultra Magnus aka White Prime, Megatron, Hot Rod, and Starscream. The amount of detail is pretty amazing. I really hope they release a Jazz or Soundwave in the near future although it’s possible that we’ll see Skywarp/Thundercracker repaints before then.
since I do not have the funds to get the bigger TFs I have been getting those small $5 ones. I have gotten Hound, BB, Beachcomber, Megatron and Jazz. I will be passing up Brawn though. are Hot Rod and Wheelie already out yet? I haven’t seen them in my area.
