Just saw the Transformers Blu-Ray. I wasn’t crazy about the movie when it came out in theatres, but the Blu-Ray is probably one of my faves. Awesome video/audio, probably the best special features.
Sorry if this has been posted already, but a buddy of mine is in the process of doing a bunch of scenes from the Transformers animated movie in stop-motion. I think you guys would appreciate this.

I don’t agree with paying that much either. That’s what sucks about customs, especially his and Jin Saotome’s. The prices are just too fucking intimidating. And what sucks is that he had BIN set at $4K with no reserve at the beginning. I realize there’s a lot of work that went into this. And it’s definitely worth a couple hundred dollars. But that’s really breaking the bank.
Unfortunately, he won’t be remaking it as a commission. Crazy bidding wars aside, I think that would’ve been the best way to get him.
It’s all name association in the custom world. If you attach Jin Saotome or Frenzy_Rumble to a custom, it’s a guarantee that it’ll fetch a couple hundred or thousand. If someone else does the same quality work (if not better), it’ll go for a fraction for less than that.
Just look at Shinobitron for example: he’s had awesome customs go for $30, 40, 50. If Jin’s name was written allover them, they would’ve gone for a few hundred (maybe even a thouand).

That was fucking awesome. I can’t wait until he does Prime’s fight versus Megatron (and he better do it!).
Eh, I like Grimlock’s dino-mode more than the robot mode, but overall it’s kinda’ sloppy. It looks rushed.
Upcoming Universe and Animated
Looks like Starscream is getting another release in the Classics/Universe line. This looks like a hybrid of his original Classics release as well as Henkei.
We’ll also be getting Cyclonus, Hound, and Cheetor.
As for Animated, we’ll be getting Swindle, Blurr, and Shockwave as new molds.
strange that they chose the henkei style colors for the reissue.

Cyclonus looks fucking sweet. I still don’t understand Hasbro hard-on for Cheetor - I don’t know anyone who liked that character yet they feel they need to fill this unwanted desire to keep making him. if i want a BW re-ish, then give us Dinobot!
It’s Henkei sans the chrome. I like it. Mainly because it gives collectors a chance to own Starscream again.
Cheetor does look strange but I might pick him up anyway. The Titanium version is really nice, and I’m not even big on BW.
Hound is cool because he comes with a Ravage casette. My only issue with him is the chubby looking face.
However, releasing Bruticus as a Scourge repaint definitely nixes any hope I would’ve had for future Combaticons. What was the fucking point to releasing Onslaught in the first place? I suppose I’ll just make my own Universe Bruticus someday.
That Menasor looks awesome.
I’d love to see him make a Predaking custom, but I’d hate to see the price. :lol:

I bought the 20th anniversary movie on DVD (again) this past weekend. I’ve never realized how much fun it is to add your own commentary while being really drunk. My wife and I recitied just about every line word-for-word, and damn there was a lot of hate going on after Prime died.
