Because people are just so damn greedy and know that there are more TF completists out there that must have every goddamn version of that toy as possible. Hasbro released the same damn toy 5 years ago for $30.00 @ TRU. Suddenly a 2-episode DVD and a reprint of a shitty comic included (ok, and a dumb voice box as well) adds another $45.00 to the sticker.
I don’t even think this version has any die-cast parts unlike the Takara reissues.
I just wish they would stop reissuing him in that damn purple color for his legs/head/hands and give him a proper gun!
Im looking at my TRU reissue from a while back and it irritates me that they never reissue him in plain blue/navy blue. the G2 reissue was in blue, why cant they do it now? its as irritating as Supermans costume being purple on the JLA cartoon (the first 2 seasons Im pretty sure)
chokes
holy fucking balls, ITS NOT WORTH IT!
its not worth it at all, no way. its not like you lost out on a lucky draw or something. thats ridiculous. I need to start collecting shit that isnt popular, Im looking at you Rock Lords!
you could buy a few Soul of Chogokins instead of Noisemaze for that price. goddamn, not worth it.
A question for all you Megatron fans here-
What is it you like about Megs?
I have nothing against the big guy but I just wanted to know what your thoughts on him are.
allow me to take a childrens cartoon/toy concept and make it unnecessarily complicated…
-if the Transformers are robots, robots that are presumably built by other robots…why not just cease making new Megatrons and spare everyone the trouble?
-have they in any media ever shown the construction of a transformer? (no, Starscreams Brigade doesnt count) if I say, won some big contest to make your dream transformer show I would go all hardcore sci-fi and show how it all works. edit forgot about the Dinobots, but really Wheeljack was sort of kitbashing them together. I meant being built on Cybertron.
-if transformers are manufactured then why dont we see mass production type transformers? the seekers are a great example of mass production, but we dont see any production type Sunstreakers or anything.
Depends on the canon and his depiction.
Just plain old vanilla G1 Megs is a good villain and a decent tactician, but it’s hard to take him too seriously because he fucks up so much. His comic depictions are much better. The Animated Megatron is pretty menacing and has incredible raw strength. But BW Megs is unfuckwitable. He’s a master tactician who can plan for just about every contingency, and usually ends up on top even when he looks like he’s losing. He’s insanely charismatic, and it is quite easy to see how he got such a large following of soldiers behind him. Plus he can manipulate people like no other (see Ravage in the Agenda). Yeah, BW Megatron is one of the greatest villains of all time.
