Just got the BotCon 2006 set yesterday. 
It’s a set of the Beast Wars cast prior to their landing on Earth. So, Cybertron alt modes, etc.
It’s shockingly nice. I wish I had been able to get it sooner. Now I have an 800-1000 dollar road ahead of me to pick up the other 5 characters which were convention exclusives to complete the cast.

I heard of this set but never saw what the final product looked like.
so I was cleaning up my room and putting away my tf’s and I noticed how broad the quality of them are. I usually keep the G1 and more sentimental figures on display so I didnt bother with them and mostly put away my RID,armada,energon and cybertron. so I was wondering what you think are the highs and lows of a particular line.
armada: jetfire, overload, tidalwave>>>>>>>sideswipe (fuck you sideswipe), scavenger, prime w/trailer
energon: energon had so many great figures and a ton of references G1 that its a personal favorite of mine. galvatron, prime w/wing saber, wheeljack, towline>>>>>jetfire, piece of shit hot shot, cyclonus, ironhide (but the hound repaint was hardcore)
cybertron: when its good its really good and when its bad its fucking PAINFUL. prime, starscream, primus, sideways, soundwave(even though mine has a bum shin hinge so he just falls over), those cybertron defense guys >>>>>>thundercracker, megatron and his stupid floppy feet, vector prime (the legs dont line up right on mine so it gets fucked up in jet mode), menasor, metroplex

Figured I’d provide more shots of the alt mode. It isn’t much. And the transformation is ridiculously easy. I was never really a fan of the alt mode, and quite honestly, my work had more to do with giving him normal arms and then transplanting the originals to the back. That little mechanism I made has a lot of working joints so it’s pretty flexible. But as I’ve said, the alt mode doesn’t offer a whole lot (at least to me). Robot mode is where this custom truly shines.

The box sets are usually a few of each side. His inclusion in the box wasn’t meant to necessarily infer his inclusion on the team at that point.
You could get Megatron and Waspinator at the convention as a bonus set to buy.
Now you can get them on eBay for $400+ on a good day.
