I have to ask, what the fuck has Hasbro been doing for the past year? The Transformers Animated Cartoon has been on for awhile yet the figures donāt hit for months. WTF? The Marvel/Transformer Crossover is over with already so why so late to the party? They had the time. Itās not like the first two waves of their Marvel Legends were that great.

Funny yes, but it kind of makes me sick because itās such an obvious ploy for Nike to try and grab a slice of the Transformers energon-pie. Itās gross cross-marketing that have nothing to do with one another. Kindaā like Vavoline motor oil having an exclusive bottle design with Darth Vader on the front when Ep. III was being marketed.

Yea, I need to get back into the game. A few months ago, I was custom painting this figure, got discouraged, put it down, and ended up never returning to task. Iām just scared of fucking up some good figures. I think Iāll start with simple mods like head swaps and tweaking guns.
Iād gotten used to Olive Scream, but I have the correct colored one now and I canāt believe how much more sexy it is. HUGE difference. The guy who designed MS Screamerā¦the design is genious, but he should be pistol-whipped or something for his choice of colors.
I think Iād like to do the same, re-paint Olive Scream into Thundercracker. I donāt have much confidence in my painting skills though.
I remember seeing a guide someone actually printed and bound with spiral cord on how to disassemble your MP Starscream and repaint it but it was $30.00. I need to find a guide like that online because Iām confident in my painting skills, itās my re-assembly skills that I question.

seriously, how can hasbro make such amazing looking TF:animated figures and yet the movie figures look like pinched balls? its semi-obvious that they want to make amends/make more money with the platinum or premium or whatever they are calling them. āaka, give prime and megatron new heads and better paintjobs and everyone else gets a nice slab of day glow blue paintā.
I was at target and saw concept bumblebee. against my better judgement I decided not to buy it. its an awesome looking figure and all but the flat black all over just looks like shit.
I still havenāt taken my Walmart Screamer out of the box yet to remove the weathering.

I bought the 20th Anny DVD version which has the short smokestacks, blue rifle, and ketchup color people are always talking about. The 20th Anny is slightly better because the gun is gray and red is more accurate to the cartoon, but it suffers from short smokestacks.
The Takara MP Prime makes up for the shortcomings in detail of those versions. And it sucks, because MP Prime is fucking expensive whereas you can pick up either of those 20th Anny Primes (DVD or regular) for $50 or so. With an MP Prime, itād be double that and thatās not including the damn trailer.
