Me too, he looks pretty good compared to most.
Prowl! Yes! Thatâs a must-buy for me. Now all we need is Iron Hide and Ratchet. Wheeljack wouldnât hurt either.
Also, on the movie line, so thereâs G1 re-paints of Jazz, Starscream, Prime, RatchetâŚany plans for a G1 Iron Hide re-paint?
Not yet it seems. Although people have been painting their Ratchets red and giving him a new head.
so am i the only one who thinks theyre putting my childhood in a microwave with this new animated series???
it looks like transformers meets pokemon meets scooby dooâŚ
epic fail imoâŚ
No, but the whole âdestroying my childhoodâ sentiment is old and silly. As much as I love G1, the show has not aged well. Does this mean Animated is going to blow it away? Nah. But I think itâll be decent as both a series and toyline.
I disagree. I think G1 has held up well over the years. Itâs one of the few classic cartoons I can watch and still be entertained by (Thundercats is completely unwatchable to me now).
What Iâd love to see is a re-do of G1, honestly. Give the S1 and S2 characters the deep plots and storylines that the S3 guys had. They can still kill off the classic guys if they want, but do it in a way that has meaning, not just the cheap âoh look everyoneâs dead nowâ treatment they were given in the movie. The designs donât have to be updated that much, and with todayâs technology we can make toys that actually look like the actual vehicles/robots and transform. The old fans would love it, and to the new fans, it would be completely new.
I think it has the potential to be a good show. I donât like the animation style, but there are number of other things I do like about it which may be enough for me to look past that. Only time will tell. As far as ruining childhoods, heh, that happened long ago with Transformers. I doubt theyâll ever come up with anything to fully satisfy the G1 purists. Best one can do these days is hope the stuff in the future turns out better than everything post Beast Wars.
that i would be inclined to watch in a secondâŚ
this new cartoon is shitty story waiting to happenâŚ
while i agree that some of the transformers look alrightâŚ
it could look like free diamonds and goodnessâŚ
i probalby still wouldnt be able to watch it if it plays out like pokemon or other dribble that cartoon network shits outâŚ
thats just my opinionâŚ
what you said is true i think as wellâŚ
but⌠me being the transformers fan i amâŚ
ill still end up giving the show a chanceâŚ
but im still skepticalâŚ
Very old. I can still enjoy TF, but Animated looks funâplus I was hooked when I first saw Blackarachnia. Thereâs still plenty of room for disappointment, but I"m going into things with an open mind.
from SMB:
Nope, youâre not. But the TF CG movie already âdestroyed my childhoodâ. That movie sucked large amounts of ass on all levels. Nothing they release either animated, CG or plastic can ruin it more for me than that did.
I saw this on another board. In case no one has seen it yet, fantastic Warpath custom:
Jin has outdone himself here.

flame me if you want, but i like bwingâs designâŚ
Chris Morada at TFW2005 also did his own Custom Warpath
I actually like his better than Jinâs as blasphemous as that sounds. Itâs all in the G1-style head he used.
I think its slightly better too.
The paintâs glossier than Iâd like but itâs still a solid custom.
This is a dumb question, I think, but what the hell happened to the JustiToys WST Sludge and Swoop? I had preorders on those back from the summer, supposedly shipping October 2007. Since I donât see them even on eBay: is this a temporary delay, or did they get shut down?
