Transformers Thread

I already pre ordered it:looney:

from SMB:

You know what this means, right? Upcoming repaints of Thundercraker and Skywarp Revoltechs. Maybe even Sunstorm?

FUCK_YEAH.

I only hope that Hotrod comes with (and this is a biggie, I know) an alternate pistol weilding hand for Megatron. I wanna put Hot Rod in Megatron’s one-armed chokehold with a gun pointed at Prime.

And Starscream had better fucking include his crown, cape and kingly shoulder pads or I’m gonna scream at someone…

Im still hoping someday they make a beefed up starscream with the crown and shit like in the movie instead of just adding accessories.

from SMB:

HA! I like that last one! That was the the episode where Starscream transformed into Major Kusanagi’s vibrator, wasn’t it? LOL.

I always thought it was weird how Starscream’s upper body was suddenly exaggerated because he’s king. Looks like Starscream got breast enlargements.

I need to find out who did Triggerhappy’s voice that ep. Dude is wild.

 great minds think alike.

fun fact:

Charlie Adler did the voice of G1 silverbolt(leader of aerialbots) and Triggerhappy, and the Starscream in the live action 2007 movie All aircraft , interesting huh?
(And buster bunny in tiny toons)

Things are looking nowhere but up for Darius ā€˜Mr. Superhead’ McCrary… hot on the heels of the smash hit Family Matters, he’s marrying a pornstar/rap video hoe (best known for slurping literally everyone in the entertainment industry)…

…and he’s currently in talks to voice Jazz in the TF sequel http://tformers.com/article.php?sid=8703

When I think of Eddie Winslow, I think… ā€˜winner.’ :woot:

The Chinese make me laugh sometimes

yep.

Um, Koreans animated most of the original G1 episodes that were pre-1986 movie. Akom is a Korean studio and Nelson Shin, the man who directed most of the TF cartoons (which includes the 1986 movie and the pre-movie TV series) is Korean.

The studio used for most post-movie US episodes was in the US.

Hey guys, figured I’d post the link to my sale/trade list in the TFW2005 forum. I had 5 G1 Combiners that I just sold so you probably missed out on the best part of the thread, but if you happen to see anything else you might like, send me a PM here and I’ll get back to you. Figured I’d also post my seller/trader feedback so you guys know I’m legit.

Wrong.

Toei, a japanese company, animated most of the pre-movie episodes.
They also worked on G.I Joe(US 80s version), Dragonball, Fist of the north star.
They did all of season 1, everything in season 2 except 4/5 episodes, the movie, and a few eps in S3(the return of optimus prime being the most notable)

**Akom **, a Korean company founded by TF producer Nelson Shin, did the handful of episodes in Season 2 such as "city of steel(w/optimus alligator), the core, and the autobot run. these pisodes can be distinguished b/c of the hanna barbera look and because Chip chase had a blue sweater in Akom episodes as opposed to the dark brown in Toei episodes.
They did a majority of S3 episodes- five faces of darkness, dark awakening, and the the last 3 episodes of American G1, the rebirth trilogy(w/headmasters/targetmasters)

from SMB:

What? That looks like Bumblebee to me.

An overweight, unemployed, too much porn downloads Bumblebee

Dangerous J: Ya took the words right out of my mouth. I remember watching the Optimus Alligator episode and thinking ā€œman, I hope these animators are never allowed to do another TF cartoon.ā€

Autobot Run: Another heaping pile of crap episode. Devastator was shooting laser out of his fists and eyes. This ain’t the fucking Go-Bots, man!?

Ok guys, I need your advice.

After forever and a half, I finally want to get MP4 - Masterpiece Optimus Prime. However, I spent the better part of the day phoning around and finding that no shops had it. Sold out, no idea when (or even if) they’re getting more.

My good 'ol trusted hobby shop has ONE of the American 20th Anniversary Prime. I have been ignoring it because I wanted the Japanese MP4, but now I’m a bit worried that I may never actually find MP4. So, should I hurry and pick up 20th Anniversary Prime before that vanishes too, or just keep looking and holding out for MP4 Prime?

Is it the DVD version? If so, you can always custom paint the rifle black. If not, I hear the regular 20th Anny is pretty good and has a more accurate paint scheme.

Cool Starscream pic.

Good eye, Satomi! Nice picture. Damn, looks like Macross/Transformers crossover.

from SMB:

As long as it’s the first US release version of 20th Prime, and not the DVD version. I’ve heard the latest release is pretty cheap and the blue gun is lame. The only difference between MP04 and the one I’m recommending is there’s painted battle damage (that can be taken off with a little nail polish remover) and he has short smoke stacks and his arms. It matters to some, to me not so much. Well, those and that he doesn’t come with the trailer…
