True, in the G1 series Starscream tells in a flashback that he and Skyfire/Jetfire explored a then uncharted planet (Earth) as scientists and that’s when they got separated Jetfire crashlanded.
Damn, I need to brush up on my G1 trivia. I actually have season 1 and I totally didn’t remember that.
And on top of that, I held a copy of Beast Wars Season 1 in my hand on Friday. I didn’t buy it because it was like, $50. I’ll have to hit eBay(TF plug device) and find it for cheaper.
I saw no one get squashed, I’ve seen a lot of people running around and Megatron plucking someone, funny but it didn’t look like he died ether. Close to getting R? seriously:confused:
Ahem geek moment imminent Actually megatron has the capability to draw power from a black hole which gives him the ability to destroy entire PLANETS with anti-matter blasts, however he rarely uses this option since hit it drains him of almost all his energy and leaves him extremely vulnerable.
Again, the black hole power source is only an option.
His default fusion cannon’s power source allowed him to destroy entire city blocks with one blast.
Obviously they had to tone Megs down in the comics and tv series.
As for people getting killed in the movie, anyone remember Megs tossing that minivan into the distance, Team Rocket style? Pretty sure someone was in there.
In Transformers: The movie (1986), I never questioned why those Autobots got peaced out the way they did. I always assumed because Megatron’s blasts that struck them were 1000x more powerful than just a regular blast from a lasergun, that’s the reason why one shot could kill them.
Like, in the G1 TV series, the Autobots got shot by Decepticons’ regular lazers, and never died (sometimes got injured). But I don’t remember them ever getting shot by a MEgatron blast (when he’s in gun form).
Is anyone else with me on this? Or am I just trying to justify the weak way tons of legendary G1 Autobots met their fate?
If you people are talking about the movie in here, please don’t. I haven’t seen the movie yet, can’t see it until August, and I believe there’s already a movie thread.
The Armada through Cybertron lines take a lot of what I think is unjustified crap.
So, I went about and took down all my G1 figures and reorganized some of my shelves to show off these lines (Classics included) in a manner which I think really displays the cast in a good way.
A few of the figures aren’t shown (like 5 or 6), but they’re on their way courtesy of eBay. I was just too lazy to pick them up back when. Otherwise, this is ALL of them.
I bought movie Starscream the other day. Let’s just the say the transformation was a little complicated since I haven’t messed with a TF figure in 15 years. I was afraid I’d break it, lol. I’m thinking about buying that Bumblebee statue too.
