After watching the movie, me and my friends got into a discussion about who fired Megatron when he was in gun form.

Soundwave or Starscream?

I thought it was Soundwave, but they said they didn’t recall Soundwave ever shooting Megs. Just watching a youtube clip of a Soundwave music video (lol), he’s seen firing Megatron. So I know Soundwave did it AT LEAST that one time.

So I guess Starscream and Soundwave BOTH fired him. Who usually did it though? Starscream?

Oh and Arsenal, if it makes you feel any better I open up all of my TF toys as well. I may let them sit around in packaging for some time and open them up later. While I also keep the packaging atm my classics, movie figs and titanium. Two of my G1’s are out and everything else is in their original boxes but opened

Warp has the right of it. They both pretty much did their fair share of Megs blastin.

Call me a blasphemer, but I always thought that Megatron’s alt mode in G1 was so…unlike him? I know he could fly around and shoot by himself, but usually he had to have someone else fire him. That always seemed so against his character, having to rely on other Decepticons and all. His robot mode was boss, but the alt mode…that’s why I always dug G2 megs, big green and purple tank rollin around and smashin folks.

Megatron turning into a gun was always one of the things that fucked me up as a kid.

I mean he had a huge cannon on his arm but he turns into a fucking pistol? That and why Rodimus was a better leader than Ultra Magnus.

yeah I got him earlier this week. We finally got him in at work. So far I’m already used to the design and love it. I mean he lights up, makes noises, has his flail and double armed fusion cannon. This design is awesome, for once Megatron looks fearsome!

One thing I always wondered in the ol’ TF movie.

There’s no way in HELL that Starscream could defeat the Constructicons or Soundwave in a fight, so can somebody please explain to me how he ended up being crowned their new leader!? Not only has Starscream apparently won the battle for leadership over the Decepticons, but the Constructicons are willingly playing the trumpet for him during his coronation!

Starscream was never THAT good. He made them niggas play the trumpet at his crowning(all 5 mins of it >_>). Nigga possibly hid in the corner of the room and waited until they got tired. Then, after 30 mins had passed, he came out of the shadows and was like, “Hey, if you wanna stay on this Astrotrain, I’m the new leader lawlz”

once again starscream is second in command for a reason. Just cause he is a coward sometimes doesnt mean he’s weak…hes a strong ass mofo.

You effectively answered your own question. There was actually a piece of script cut in the shuttle where it showed Starscream in hiding, waiting for the other 'Cons to “tire themselves out”. He was supposed to come in and pick off whoever was left.

Plausible? Maybe. The others were probably like “hey let him lead for a little while, we couldn’t be any worse off”. Then Five Faces Of Darkness happened, and they ate their own words. :lol:

Okay…so Ive seen the movie (I LOVED IT) well a day later I decide to check out and see if they have any of the leader toys(wasnt to interested at the time in buying)…so im walking by and there they are staring me in the face and im deciding wether or not I should get it…because I know one day this thing will be a huge collector piece and I love the cartoon as well as the movie.

So my question is…should I fork over $40 for these toys?

Edit: Am I the only one who didn’t like Galvatron. Megatron looked MUCH cooler, and had a better voice.

somethings been bugging me, I was at walmart and they had the fast action battlers next to the deluxes. theyre both $10. why? why would I want the inferior f.a.b. when I could get the better engineered deluxes for the same price? fewer paint apps, poor ass articulation and a 400% increase in weakness. anyone buy an f.a.b. and love it or is there something Im missing?
