If they can stick the paint job with this one, I may purchase it. The original release not having clear delineation of the cockpit like the Decepticon repaint just didn’t work for me. So yeah, like the Decepticon paint job; but in blue and white please!
Apparently he will be part of an Amazon two pack with a Beast Wars character. So. . . I’ll probably have to fire up the old eBay machine to offload the kibble in that two pack.
It’s such a paradox. I don’t mind the G1 animal transformers, but there’s just something that is so aesthetically unpleasing about Beast Wars designs. Doing some research for a gift exchange, two issues I have was asymmetrical designs. I’m not a fan of uneven visual aesthetics. The other oddity I noticed was the warping of the faction logos. This was no doubt early computer animation and texture application, but faction logos should never be warped, skewed, or altered IMO.

No sir. Siege Mirage and Red Alert/Sideswipe, pretty much already had their earth modes going. I’m thinking these will be a pitaful slight remold, like we got with Earthrise Megatron. PASS.
No spoilers but, i watched Earthrise on Netflix. WTF? This was basically Siege Part 2. There is no “earth” involved, much less any “rising” going on. Also nothing significant happens to advance the story. It feels like they decided Siege needed extra time, so they slammed on the brakes and whipped up 6 more episodes to further flesh things out. Before they moved on to the next big setting.
Despite it being “earthrise” in name ONLY, it was still entertaining and i think it had better pacing than the first part. Megatron, Bumblebee, and Elita-1 continue to be the best characters.
So far this is the Best TFers show in DECADES. Feels very much like a prequel to the G1 show also.
Appreciate it. I live in a small town surrounded by small towns. So I don’t really see the transformers seen being crazy here. So hopefully it’ll be easy ish to find here
I spotted him on a provisions trip about a week before Christmas. Had I known he was such a hot commodity, I would have snagged the little jerk. Maybe I’d have been able to use him as a bargaining chip and $20 to secure a Soundwave.
Hopefully some kid is happily playing with that little yellow goon. I got my Cliffjumper, and I know that without my little red buddy, you wouldn’t exist modern Bee!
Buddy just texted me, apparently there’s a black Soundwave called Soundblaster (can I install him in a PC)? And he’s on clearance at Walmart website for $19.99.
Only down side is he transforms into a lame space rectangle. An alt mode so lame, you almost wish it were one of those RED figures that doesn’t turn into anything.

It’s a real mixed bag. Workers are treated poorly. Retailer exclusive toys are a dumb idea. Walmart can be a boon to remote or isolated areas, or a wrecking ball for other communities. Over the past 15 years, I’ve had to come to peace with Walmart since Amazon went from that cool online book store with great discounts, to Walmart2.0 and they’ve forgotten how to package and ship books properly - so the thrill of getting a book you’re looking forward to is crushed by it arriving all beat to hell in a bubble mailer.
Back on topic - Walmart restocked Soundwave online yesterday. Sadly, I was asleep at the time.
The UK. We have specialist online store like indemand toys, smyths etc but nothing chained like walmart. Many of the times the stock is sold out. Amazon uk… not much. You can preorder kingdom stuff at a decent price but everything else is sold out or at an elevated price.
Oh, that happens here as well. Heck, the morning some figures went up for pre-sale, by the time I had made my selections, and went to check out - the items in my cart were sold out. Scalpers are the same world over I reckon.
Do kids want these figures? I would hate to be a parent trying to hunt these dang things down for a bright eyed youngster when crusty old coots like myself are buying them. Then again, I tend to stick to only the characters I enjoy - which seem to be low key enough to score, like Cliffjumper and Kup.
Well my son wanted jetfire so after a long time i managed to pre-order the re-release of the war for cybertron version from a UK store (smyths)… still waiting for them to arrive.
It looks very nice. There’s a ton of attention to detail on it that’s is faithful to the iconic vehicle, and really just clowns the Transformers toys I grew up with. Hover wheel tilt. Gull wing doors open. Damned thing turns into a robot.
This has me wishing they’d do more classic, and obscure licensed vehicles - Kitt, General Lee, the Auto Car (ridiculous name I know), and The Bluesmobile for starters.
