It’s forgettable due to how close these character releases are, and one clearly holding the advantage over the other in terms of faithfulness. 20+ years from now, NOBODY is going to be taking about how cool molds like Siege Soundwave or Prowl was. The topic will be on Earthrise Soundwave & Prowl instead.
Well I’m glad that my only Siege fig is Sideswipe.
Some Siege figures are Legit Excellent. To where even if they make a better Earthrise version? The Siege one is still great as is. Sideswipe is one of those, both Robot & Altmode are well done and faithful to the character. Hound, Mirage, spinister, Apeface, and Springer are others that come to mind that knocked it out of the park.
And as far as G1 Megatron w/tank mode goes? Siege 35th anniversary colors Megatron is about as good as it gets. The upcoming Earthrise version just looks like a needless variation on that, and the new headsculpt is kinda doofy looking.
So even if Siege was a rip-off in the end, there was still some legit good stuff that was worth it.

Not counting the Battlemasters and Micromasters, that’s about 1/2 the line. Siege is far from being called a wash.

Starscream - Im usually not a seeker fanatc but the fact that the color schemes are accurate to cartoon and the headsculpts are good pushed me to it. I had Classics 2006 Scream but the head detail is lost in the plastic they used and I never saw the F15 deluxes of SW and TC when they came out. I’m done with seekers now.

That’s a fair point. I could see the frustration given that many of these are sculpt retools. However, if this is the takeaway, you may as well just stop collecting Transformers once you have something you like. You’re going to see revisions on most things going forward and it’s likely that they’ll be better in some way to what you have now.

Takara Tomy released an in-hand image of MP Black Convoy.
It’s a lot “blacker” than I expected. I wish the energy components were purple or red instead of teal.
The only other recolor that I want is a Shattered Glass version.

I’ve begun using the Transformerland site not too bad guy is reliable. Currently waiting on a few figures since it’s that time of year where I do my big clean up.

Pretty much, every once in a while he will get some of the latest figures. That’s where I managed to snag Ratchet at its close to original price, everywhere else had added roughly 20 bucks to it.

Went on Amazon.jp and grabbed MPM Megatron for $105 today (after shipping).
I honestly doubt we’ll be getting anything beyond the 07 movie in the MP line. If so, it’ll be AoE Prime and the one from the Bee Movie.
More additions to my kids ‘collection’. Got my boy 35 anniversary siege megs and my little girl cyberverse windblade. Waiting for arcee war for cybertron to be released as another addition for her.

Meh i stopped watching Cinema sins shlock a while back. The series started out good but, then it just turned into a glorified, crappy skit piece. It’s especially annoying to see them cover movies you hate, only to barely acknowledge the actual flaws, and instead focus on their shitty “comedy” sketch.
The episodes were at their best when they were legit pointing out the actual problems, instead of attempting to be a fast-paced version of Mystery science theater.
Also saying things extra fast and ‘witty’, and thinking it’ll be funny just cause? Well that’s just…

Or how about just not bothering with MP altogether, and stick to CHUG. Because they’ll never stop coming out with these new screamers, they’ll always be expensive as heck, and so over-engineered, that they give you a stroke to transform. And now that we’re getting a new screamer, that means we’ll be getting new Thundercracker, new Skywarp, etc, ad nausem. No thanks.
Also i was reading random articles today and saw someone refer to EarthRise Prime as “Skinny Jeans” Prime. lol. Yet another issue with the figure that i can’t unsee.
