Transformers Thread 2.0

Pre-ordered and awaiting shipment.

You know that because it doesn’t split into bird and lynx mode, G1 purity has not been achieved.

Totes jealous. It looks so awesome.

Beast Wars MPs honestly have been MP proper. I am sure the 3D models have helped with that.

I really like the MP Soundwave too.

I have no idea for to gauge the quality of a transformer sculpt/figure tho. I’ve never really paid attention to the kind of stuff. So I don’t know if it’s worth that kinda coin.

Still crossing my fingers for an MP Rattrap. I don’t care if it’s Transmetal or not. I just want my boy.

It’s a solid release. However the US version was a far better deal. You had Soundwave with Lazerbeak, Buzzsaw, Ravage, Rumble, and Frenzy for $160. The only difference is that it had the safety tampographs on the inner legs and the eyes were toy accurate (yellow). This is the one that I own. I have seriously debated taking out the eyes and painting them red.

Siege Soundwave can’t become a cassette player either but, it’s still a badass figure and faithful to the character. As for CW Sky Lynx…

I’d agree with Soundwave since all of the things you remember about the character are mainly in robot mode. The cassette player aspect is a thing but his alt mode was not featured nowhere as often as the Optimus Prime or Starscream. This is the case with most characters who originated from the Micro-Change line. As long as you can recreate “Ravage Eject!!!” you’re good.

Sky Lynx often was in the bird-only half on the show. I would agree that CW Sky Lynx is a solid G1 rendition, but you know that’s going to allow for a split version at the Commander size class ($79.99 price point). That’s the same as Skyfire.

Anyone interested in SIEGE Jetfire, Amazon has him for $47 (Normally $80)

I don’t know how long this is for.

I got a feeling that anything above leader class is gonna be online only

Looks like the figure will have blue hands and blue eyes.

It’ll likely dethrone the Siege version as the best CHUG Prime.

And just when i grabbed the Super Snazzy “35th Anniversary” Cel-shaded repaint of Seige Prime.

I really didn’t like the colors on the first release. They were pretty dull looking, and i was also put off by the “seige weathering” pattern. I think both Prime & Megatron fell victim to that the most. They really slathered the weathering crap on those two, and both figures just looked filthy. It was too damned much.

Then they released those stylish “Cel-shaded” versions with MUCH nicer colors, and the weathering was thankfully Gone. Had to get them then.

Huge improvement.

I almost pulled the trigger, but it’ll look out of place with everything else.

OH YEAH!

That’s the only figure out of that set that I was someone interested in. The way that it honors the dual cockpit legs is pretty impressive.

Those poor boxes :disappointed_relieved:

Also i liked the face on the first MP Bumblebee better. I know the chubby/bloated look G1 Cartoon Bumblebee had at times is more accurate but… not every friggin’ aspect must be faithfully translated like that. His face looks like he’s been hitting the Cybertronian Buffet’s a little too much lately.

Yeah, they are toast once I get home.

Anyway, so I opened and transformed the figures.

MP Bee 2.0 - It’s ok, but not great. I really want to love it, but the FEET and the backpack just look unfinished from any angle except for the front. I will agree with you @AlphaCharlie that the face doesn’t transfer to 3D as well. Otherwise I am fine with it, however there is a lot of clear plastic. I am afraid that if anyone plays with this thing overtime will get some breakage.

7/10

MP Blackarachnia -

One small nitpick. There is a gap in the torso that you can see through the figure from the side. Otherwise . . . .

Seriously, the sculpt nails the character. The spider mode cant hold the weight of the legs but there is a slight lift under the body that makes the figure appear that it is hovering over the ground. The colors are spot on and all of the detail is in the right place. Beast Wars MPs are quite honestly the best the line has to offer.
9/10.

I need this guy next!
