Yeah, I just got it. I’ll watch it on Monday.
a) I’d be pleasantly surprised.
b) Still wouldn’t feel be bad about not paying to watch it: Bay owes me a movie, so if is good, then we’re even.
Transformers is nominated for Academy Awards for Sound Editing and VFX.
This is the actual reel sent in for its consideration.

I just got the 3D Blu Ray. I am all for commentaries, so it fails there. However, the visual presentation and the sound are incredible. The additional disc with the special features digs into how much work was put into this movie. Unless you haven’t bought the movie or really want the bonus disc (the blu ray is the same from the previous edition), then it’s a buy. Otherwise, keep the one that you have.
A DVD/Blu-Ray not having commentary these days is an automatic full point off it’s score in my book.
I don’t give it a pass for acceptance thats for sure. I was looking forward to a commentary. The bonus disc “almost” makes up for it, but I can honestly still only mildly recommend it. I bought it as I still didn’t buy the first release. The bonus disc answers a lot of the questions about design choice, locations, production items, etc, but it would have been nice to see (hear) it all while watching the movie.
Yea I’m with you 100%. Best commentary I’ve ever experienced is the Sherlock Holmes Blu Ray. So damn good.
Ahhh…I’ll buy it at a…I mean…Ahhhh…I was just wondering if the Blu Ray was out. I’ll have to make my way into Best Buy soon.
It’s 24.99 till Tuesday. I technically only paid 5 for it though. I bought SoulCalibur 5 and got a $20 gift card. Took that and Best Buy’s ad to customer service and got that hot price match. Well worth it at that level
