My bad my nig, it’s just that TF2 sucked so hard (and I was mad hyped for it too) why the hell did Megan Fox get more screen than Optimus Prime I’ll never understand, regardless I’ll see TF3 but I can’t guarantee I (or ya’ll) will like it :bluu: and for the record I thought TF1 was okay…
Simple, the CGI rendering of Optimus Prime costs about 1 Million dollars per minute. Megan Fox might be a pricey PoA, but she’s not *that *pricey…
Anyway, my problems with the films (small problems they are) are this:
The first film did too many passing glances at important characters.
–Jazz…Cool! Hey, he fights pretty damn interestingly. Look at him attack Brawl…oh…wait, he’s dead.
–Starscream…brutal assault on the City…no characterization.
–Ratchet…just a trooper. Could have even been left out.
Then the second film characterizes the wrong or less important characters…
–Skids and Mudflap (I don’t hate them, I actually like them), stole screen time that could have gone to fan favorites Sideswipe and Ironhide
–Sam’s mom and Leo…too much, could have gone to other characters
–Wheelie…he didn’t suck…but it could have been someone else…
I feel the first film did very much right in making the “war” feel hidden. It did a good job with playing a slow hand. The Transformers were there, they were brutal, they were gone. Good show.
I think the second film did a lot of things right that get overshadowed by the few things it did wrong. Starscream, was incredible. Character on-point. Devastator was impressive, massive, and dealt with just like in the cartoon (in some crazy off-hand way). Bumblebee was actually an important and skilled fighter, not just a kid-friendly character. Skids and Mudflap? They were interesting new characters, but I think people get way, WAY too hung up trying to take a stand on race etc etc with these guys,

You know what? I love the 80’s cartoon. I even bought the $140 full series Matrix of Leadership set direct from the producers this year.
But…as much as I love it, if I ever need to sleep. Like, if I can’t fall asleep or my mind is racing and insomnia is kicking my ass, I just put some G1 in the PS3 and I am fucking out like a light.
I serously can not get through a full episode. Lights out, ggpo, I’m done.

Looking back on it, the Dreamwave stuff wasn’t that great either, although that has more to do with the inconstancy of the publisher itself than anything.
I agree with you though. G1 isn’t all that great on its own. Beast Wars was significantly better. My problem with Transformers: Roflcopter has nothing to do with any comparisons to G1, but the movie as a whole. Even as an action movie, it failed compared to better ones such as Iron Man, and, well, THE FIRST FUCKING MOVIE.
As long as Shia Labeouf is in it im watching it. 
I actually enjoyed 2nd one more then the 1st.

Here how to fix T3
- No more GhettoBots
- Have a story that connects all dots
- Transformers need to have a personality
- MORE Soundwave (not humping Satellites)
- Less Megan Fox (bitch can’t act)
- Less Military friendly battles
Man honestly, if they want a good movie, they need to strip it back down to basics. Get the military out of it for one. Scale the size of the fighting down two. Scale the number of robots down to an actually managable size cast three. try to cut down the human interaction some, I know they are somewhat necessary, but too much of the storyline revolves around THEM. Let them help the autobots, not run them four. Switch Megans…Good >>>>> Fox, neither is a great actor, but Good is so much better looking, and in shape, five.
finally and most importantly, balance out the fights. It shouldn’t be compelte pwnage by anyone. the first did a good job of this…Fodder can get sonned, but for Peter cullen’s sake, Optimus should not be two piecing “The Fallen” or Megatron.

at first i thought no.1 was a better film but the more i watch no.2 the more i am seeing them as equals.
i believe the second film is meant to emulate a two part episode of the gen1 cartoon watched back to back
and also all of the character develpment is given to the deceptacons in this film.
the first film builds up the picture of the autobots.
the second film shows us the deceptacons.
i really love both films.totally and utterly.
hopefully they will just listen to the sound of the money rolling in and make no.3 just the same.
