Transformers 3

Shia Labeouf is still in it. Michael Bay is still directing it. It will still be shit.

personally i still think that if this movie actually sticks to its mature storyline with no dumb jokes, you still gonna have people shitting on it.

The bad jokes weren’t the only things that made Transformers 1 and 2 complete piles of fucking goddamned shit.

Take the dumb visual and physical jokes out and both movies weren’t that bad.

So true. So much hate on TFW right now about the movies. You could make the movies a direct CG translation of the 86 Movie and G1 fans would still be pissed off.

Seriously guy, its your opinion, but to say they were worthless piles of excrement is going waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayy overboard.

Transformers 1 was actually a good ass movie, and the jokes in it were good most of the time. Transformers 2 came off like it was trying too hard with the jokes, felt forced and stupid.

I have high hopes for Transformers 3, I think it will shit on TF2 majorly and be a lot better, not sure if it will top TF1 but let’s wait and see…

I still don’t get what people want out of a TF movie. People expect a damn Star Wars/LotR tale out of a series that was designed to sell crap. perhaps it’s because I have no ties to the past series that I don’t see it from the point of views of the “hardcore” fans…get over it already, I see TF3 trailer I expect the same thing I saw in the last 2 films…shit get’s blown up and transforming alien robots.

nothing more, nothing less

I’m sorta with Inferno on this one. I enjoyed the first two films except for the Twins, and yes there are things I would have done differently (granted I hate that everyone is on optimus’s jock all the time, go ahead give megatron some shine) - but all in all they took a crappy tv show that was usually about finding energon cubes and turned into something funner to watch.

And the jokes were good in the first one, simply overdone in the second one.

I concur. But I do admit the corny-ass jokes like the humping robot scene is annoying by any standards.

I’m certainly not looking for something of Star Wars or LOTR quality with these films, but I’m also not looking for Shia’s mom stoned out of her mind, a depiction of Wheelie which manages to somehow almost be as obnoxious as his G1 counterpart, a pair of terrible racial stereotypes, and Devastator’s scrotum. I had no problem with TF1, but ROTF(LOL)…no thanks. My hopes aren’t too high here, but I hope this one somehow manages to pull the series back up.

Transformers 2 made no sense…they rushed the script to avoid the writers strike (the same strike that barely lasted that long anyways) and it showed

that’s all you need to know, on why that movie sucked. The Cube can revive virtually EVERYBODY, but instead they go on a fucking quest to save Optimus. Autobots run around massacring Decepticons. People seem to not know they exist, even though they had a fucking city wide battle in the first movie. Transformers can become PEOPLE. Jetfire can suddenly fucking teleport (kinda weird that he’s a teleporting jet). The Matrix of Leadership is apparantly used to DESTROY SUNS. Bumblebee’s broken voice from the first movie is back, even though IT WAS FIXED.

seriously, I can understand some anger towards the first movie, even though I loved it. But the second movie was a shitty rushjob that deserves to burn in movie hell

Oh man the comments are gold.

“I wish I could not see this movie more than once.”

I’d rather sit through a Twilight fan-orgy than watch the first or second TF-Bay movie. The first was barely tolerable, the second was exactly the piece of shit that everyone describes. Much like Return of the Sith, I tired to give that movie a chance - even watched it on HBO a couple times but I just have to turn it off.

I’ll wait until the 3rd movie hits Netflix. I’m not giving Bay or Hasbro any of my money for this garbage.

Paramount should just reboot the series in a few years then find themselves a quality director and some real writers. I don’t expect G1 designs to appear, but something other than what looks like fell out of an electronics recycling dumpster would be better.

I want Transformers. Not Shia LeBouf or John Turturro or casting couch whores. I really don’t care how loud and stupid a TF movie is-- the whole movie could be nothing but Niggabots cussing and eating fried Energon wings-- I expect at bare minimum to see Transformers taking an active role in the movie and interacting with each other (and I don’t mean voice actors reading lines off a card, then editors pasting the audio somewhere in the action onscreen). G1 at its absolute worst and absolute shittiest had that convention.

This is the biggest issue about having a live action movie. Unless they take it to Cybertron, I will never expect the Transformers to have a larger role than the humans as far as screen time (50/50 at best).

The Bay movies are closer to Ultraman and Godzilla than Transformers.

The main reason why I didn’t think ROTF was complete shit was the slight improvement on interaction, like when Megatron met with the Fallen and Starscream on Mars.

I agree, more Robot interaction would definitely breathe more life into the characters. BTW, that wasn’t Mars, it was actually one of Saturn’s moons.
I saw this special effects clip from the first movie. Pretty interesting what ILM had to do to make these movies “work”

Transformations

Production Technique

If you don’t think that ROTF was a cancerous bile spewing blob of quivering fecal infection, then when it comes to movies you just don’t have any credibility at all.

Like this asshole. http://www.ew.com/ew/article/0,,20286964,00.html

He gave it a ‘B’ rating.

I just don’t understand. What I don’t understand makes me angry and I would like to hit this man.

So I take it reviews of the movie are available now?

It contains spoilers BTW.
I’m not reading it myself but apparently the movie isn’t so bad?
