Has no one noticed the kunai trajectory tilting upwards when she throws kunai in one of the combos? I was wondering if she has ground to air kunais as well. I cant link the time on the video atm because phone is retarded. But Im generally more concerned if she has any anti-air moves like her b.mp in ssf4, it was godlike. Same concern with her st.hk having any juggle potential to do cancels off of it.
The real question is, what happens when you’re out of Kunai and still try and throw one? Does she just not do it, or does she have some sort of “oops” animation? Perhaps it even has a hitbox of it’s own? Shrugs
I see what you’re talking about right at 40 seconds in. Does seem to go up at an angle. Just was done really close to Guile so hard to see the true degree of the angle.
Hopefully her AA is good. AA has always been one of her strong points so hopefully they keep with it here. SFV is really strange with anti airs though. Some characters like Karin are specifically balanced by having bad AA then you randomly have characters like Birdie who can just c.MP everything.
I know, but like, ibuki’s AA better have some consistency, or otherwise I’m gonna have a hard time. Remember the SSF4 bison match up against her before in the corner? That stuff sucks. If her ex kazegiri has any invincibility, then she has options to escape. While it’s nice to see her do some fancy combo’s because that’s what ibuki is about- if I’m constantly stuck in the corner with no options other then v-reversal- I’m gonna have a bad time.
Some things I found so far, or theorize:
Also, I’d like to point out about the exploding bomb into kunai thing. In her trailer, I actually see it ATTACHED to the kunai. It seems to attach to the ground, passing through guile. Interesting, so an air bomb kunai be used to do a hit confirm or a set-up. So, I’m not too sure if it’s an ex move, EDIT it actually is, whoops. I’m also curious to know if her exploding/bomb moves still have OTG properties, including the one with the kunai attached with a bomb.
Side note: Bonsho kick (heavy kick + forward) causes crush counter properties. Damn, you know how badly I wanted a move to do that since SSF4? Punishing jabs all day long, going over low moves and hitting them is satisfying.
There’s alot of thing’s I keep finding out, so I’ll keep an eye out.
“In addition, “general story” is decided to be distributed as a free DLC at the same time as “Ibuki”!
The information in this large update, including the delivery date of the official site , please check because going to notice the future in. So, let’s introduce the typical tricks of breath.”
it looks like she still has the super jump, multiple jump animations you can see in the trailer. some with air streaks and some without. which i hope doesnt mean she still has SJC combos. im over that.
Random dude asking for Sakura before the video starts lool. RASENGANNNNN!
I’m not great with Japanese, but I believe the jist of it is they are saying that Ibuki is getting delayed so that she can dual release with the story mode in June. So basically when Ibuki launches we will also get story mode.
Then they go into introducing the tricks of “breath”. Ibuki means breath in English.
I say this countless times, but the games that are alive are the ones people bitch about. If people aren’t bitching it’s probably not the biggest game or dead.
Also guys, don’t freak out just yet- we should find out by tomorrow the full information. Some of the translation could be a bit jankey. Copy pasta from reddit: “It’s very possible that they mean Ibuki’s “general story”, as in the non-cinematic story. As in the ones they’ve been releasing with every character. We’ll know for sure tomorrow, I guess.”
