TournamentWars Final @ Bloody Knuckles - 02/28/10

Where do you live at Jerod? If you don’t have my number I can PM it to you. I am thinking about heading down early, like leaving my place at around 7 possibly.

There are no temporary spots right? I fear no one.

I live North in Everett, Brent. I thought you knew! It was merely a joke!

That’s actually an interesting question. Frank shall know the answer.

I may show up and check this out.

No temps, no substitutes, bo alternates, nothing of the sort. Mainly because how would I be able to charge them if they don’t get to play the entire season? It’d be wrong to the alts if I charged them 35 bucks and they only played twice. It’d be wrong for the main players if I charged something like 20 and they got to play all season long…

Any plan on having additional setups? I know the focus is gonna be on the team playing their matches, but it might be nice to have a second tv to play casuals on when all of the league games are over.

Word I just wasn’t sure. Although some sort of alternate pool of players might be a good idea if main teams were OK with it. This could come in handy for situations where a team may be incomplete and there is no other scheduling available. It may cut out any problems with 2v3 situations and the drama that may be a result of that. I would gladly throw down 10-15 bones for the cause. Just a thought.

Will probably check this out tonight. Not sure how often I can roll through to these things every weekend so I if don’t come down someone else should step up and make it rain at the bar. Pay to play.

Good games everyone!

Good job making this all come together Frank. Good job indeed.

GG’s to Trace, Kyle, and Mark.

Mark,
Maybe you knew/know now, but EX greenhand is the best counter for Abel’s wheel kick.

This was a very fun event Frank good shit everybody. Now I wish I was on a team. That means a lot coming from me considering I despise SFIV. I just don’t want all these noobs thinking they are good at fighting games just because they win some matches in SFIV. Keep hate alive.

Brent “All-Kill” Cleary is tight.

good shit tonight

This was good shit, I had a lot of fun even though I didn’t even touch a controller until 3 in the morning.

Seriously though, even if you’re not playing come out to the event and support the venue. They’re being mondo generous letting us play there for free.

Results thread.

Check out www.tournamentwars.com for a rundown on the mayham as well as Frank’s Fight Card for Round 1 Week 2.

Did you guys happen to record it on video?

Thanks to Frank for organizing all this and thanks to Josh and Jacob for providing the venue. Also thanks to Fae for making the drinks.

GG to team jurassic

Cant wait till next week, this was really fun. Maybe i will check out that rockband if it is there next time.

Excellent work Munky, and thanks for the tip. You definitely did everything you were supposed to do to win that uphill battle. Congrats!

Paul G. has a mean Akuma, it was an awakening call to my team members.

Also, if anyone is willing to throw down with a little bit of cash, I’m always up for a good money match. Nothing outrageous though, still a student!

Good games to Team FC and everyone else last night. I look forward to future events.

Probably some of the most fun I have had playing Street Fighter 4 to date. Matches were hype, people were having fun, and the whole thing was professional as hell with the commentary. Thanks Frank. It was way better than I had even guessed.

Shoutout to Fae for staying so late and keeping everyone (de)hydrated.

Yo Frank, in the results thread it says “RESET DEMON?! (1-0 0 OCV: 0 points)”, shouldn’t it be 1 point?

bobby light…

Awesome event. Great matches, good people, nice venue, what more could you ask for?

Brent, I think it’s time to update your av. =]
