If you had any sense at all you’d know that there’s actually a way to get on IRC for SWR with a single click of a mouse button. ONE CLICK! It’s not difficult or complicated.

What is the difference if you’re not going to bother trying to play against anyone online? What is the difference if you plan to keep playing the game even when the answer was: “no one plays anymore” ? What is the difference if you are just playing it for fun?
If you think the game is fun and you have friends to play with offline, then just go play the game with them.

I’m not going to dive down that particular tangent again, but that whole thing wasn’t at all about whether I liked going to IRC or not. Every time I’ve been on mizuumi was quite pleasant. I like the people there and it’s pretty much one of the only places to find SWR matches outside of my friends besides.
I’m still too lazy to learn IAMP even though Marisa has dust loop. HALP.

You can put Futuristic Doll into your Alice deck and make it somewhat useful (If your opponent techs forward on wakeup, you have to recall the doll)

1:36 -> Set C doll, do meaty 66b, cancel into doll, do 5a, 2a, 5b, 6b into a guaranteed guardbreak. If the opponent doesn’t tech forward, you can repeat doll combo.
3:45 -> You can also combo doll’s 6a after a wrongblocked 66a.
You will learn many new things if you sign onto IRC. It’s really easy. No client necessary.

I’ve tried searching for a hidden pool of SWR talent before. Unfortunately, irc.mizuumi.net and doujinstyle are pretty much it unless you want to play SE Asia at animestash.
The only ones in this thread that play this online are me and mega. You know where to find us.
They don’t seem to say anything about it in the news update, but that could be some weird caching issue with google translate.
If the next patch is coming with that look, that’s pretty cool. I wonder if they’re gonna do any more balancing with it on top of that? I think my biggest issue at this point is that Typhoon is too much of a deal breaker in fights.

The current theory is that it’s an expansion, like the ones EFZ had. This fits with the fact that there’s an entirely new weather and stage shown in that screenshot.
If it is and there’s heavy gameplay changes on that, we’ll probably end up having to re-evaluate the game. Though I seriously doubt Typhoon is going anywhere, they seem to like that kind of shit.
Weird. Maybe they finally decided to use Hong’s old sprites from IaMP. Or add in another “joke” character. That stage looks kinda generic and incomplete though so who knows.
I hope Tasofro is smart enough to consider removing it (isn’t there like a universal voice among its fanbase screaming ‘GET RID OF IT’?). It’s just too destructive to the match to stay intact in that form. And this is coming from someone that likes to use items in Smash.
