All of the women in Injustice have very powerful-looking jaws! They are strong and handsome, and they make great role-models for young girls (or early gay boys) because they look like they can probably take a punch to the chin, or chew through some really tough things. Such as leather or tires.
Makoto is tough not because of looks but because she bashes opponents with her skull and lifts them by the neck with her arms. Arm strength is the main difference between men and women in terms of toughness.
