This. Forget about their moves, facial expression, win quotes, story, just look at the character standing still. Look at the physique. A lot of people are mentioning characters that have tough sounding moves, or maybe they do a lot of damage in the game they are in, I’m talking about the aesthetic design of the character body. I’ll address some of the characters mentioned that don’t fit
- Juri, Ibuki, Vanessa, I-no are all swimsuit model bodytypes. They look like they could maybe bench 30lbs.
- Karin got’s a little bit of a thicker build but really just looks like your typical girl that his a gym rat. Nicely toned arms and legs but not much strength behind them. Nina williams and Orhid also fits this minus the thicker build.
- Rachelle possibly, there is solid muscle on those arms.
- Kojiroh and Baiken are hard to tell their bodies are covered by kimonos.
- Charlotte looks super massive with that armor, but so did Samus Aran and we all know how she looks without it.
Yo what? Look up VF4 Vanessa, that’s not someone who keeps the ab curl at 20 pounds

I just recalled two inhuman examples: Sheeva from Mortal Kombat and Felicia in her old Darkstalkers incarnations.

The thing I really don’t get, is that VF4 Vanessa is way hotter than VF5 Vanessa in any case. So it’s like they failed on all counts.
