Yeah, I believe DSP has most of them, if not all, in his Street Fighter channel on Youtube. Some are still uploading so patience.
??? ARG (BA) / The SuperStar (BI) / Yuzuru (DJ) won the a-cho qualifier on July 25th - twitter
Info leaked from japanese blog.
great, arg is in! his claw is probably still the best.
now where is taira? is he going to Kasugai, Aichi to qualify?
otherwise only option is the last chance qual.
btw, i wish dsp will go to japan together with our team USA. that way we’ll get lots of video coverage
Noguchi has the best claw, imho.
Taira tried to qualify at the Nishinippori Versus (July 11th in Tokyo) with yaya and Komoda.
But, unfortunately, they failed. I really wanna see their team in Tougeki, these big three are without doubt, one of the strongest team. Let’s see what happens with next qualifiers.
Good luck to team USA! I hope they make it far.
Now I hope Hiroyan, Keishin and Shin qualify too. And Taira, Komoda, yaya is just too good of a team, so I hope they qualify too.
The Tougeki SBO ST preliminaries have completed so folks will have to sit back and see how things go on 9/19 for the last chance qualifier and national final. I hope they go back to releasing full DVDs this year.
I’ll be on GGPO as always for online practice as well as supergun and candy cab for offline practice. Anyone adept at the game (and with <200 ping and a non-laggy connection) is free to challenge me on GGPO. Thanks for all the support.
Isn’t there a last chance qual left?
Yes there is. Considering that this year ST has 16 slots, down from other years where it had 32, there are likely 16 top Japanese teams on the outside looking in. There are quite a few big name teams that haven’t qualified that are no doubt going to show up and compete for that last slot. Please let it be Taira’s team. I hope someone records that tournament as it should be as good as the actual SBO event.
it’s not Tairas team, it’s Komodas team
Hahaha! It’s yaya’s team to me: the guy did really great in the last qualifier he was in and I could check the videos. All 3 are amazing players, abd I hope to see them get the spot, even if I would actually like to see a Fei in there. Speaking about Feis, you guys can check the last qualifier, the one Gotoh and his team took. There was even a great Fei vs Fei match!
Personally I hope that ST wins SBO this year. :wonder:
Keishin OCVd yaya / Komoda / Taira at one of the latest quals… I think his team will be the one getting in.
team usa hasn’t post any update here yet but i found john rambo’s youtube channel where he uploaded some videos @ japan
Hard to argue that Ganelon doesn’t have the best Claw in the US, based on his performance in SBO. Very, very nice work!
Ganelon’s Claw is inspiring. Team USA’s performance was inspiring. Good shit to all.
How many matches did Team USA win at SBO?
Round 1 Rambo lost to Toutanki (Haw). Next up was Ganelon who sweeped the whole team of Toutanki, K (O.Hawk) and Yoshimura (Sim).
Round 2 Futachan (Ryu) was first up and OCVd Team USA.
They got top 8.
Does anyone know what happened to Komoda’s team? They got in via last chance quals but no idea whether the lost in first or 2nd round and who they played.
Good shit to Team USA for placing top 8! Is that the best placing so far? I think so. And mad props to Ganelon for taking a whole team by himself. Can’t wait to get home so I can check .
Wait so they one there first round match, then lost the next match (2nd round match) and got top 8? I don’t get it. Team USA in 2006 or 07 not sure got third place with Graham and Alex Wolfe by the way actually might have been 4th but I just remember they placed really high
There were 16 teams.
