Tougeki/SBO 2009 Teams

THIS

3s is NOT going anywhere for you ppl who say its dying

I want to thank you for being 1 of the chillest 3S players on the planet and for repping the game so well!

ill always rep this game and do my best to keep it alive in my area

we see the game is slowly dying but we just dont accept that fact…the most simplest reason that its not going anywhere is cuz of this

ST to 3s = 3s to sf4

it will STILL be around no matter what…if ST lasted for more than 10 yrs than im pretty damn sure 3s will last much longer simply cuz of how deep the game is…

if its on arcadias top 10 then its saying a LOT…its still being played and is still one of the more popular games in japan…most ppl in the US just give up on 3s for no damn reason just cuz they want the easy way out and want to start over with sf4…i started with 3s so im ending with 3s but thats just me and this is the 3s SBO thread so yea GO 3s at SBO and lets see what strong team comes up this weekend so we can all say AYEEEEEE with a passion

I can admit after coming back from East Coast Throwdown 3s isn’t as big as it was a year ago but I’m still gonna play it and do my best to keep it alive on the east coast. Even on the WC the last tournament at denjin had like 30-50 people.

I Agree with this post 150%

If that’s not an indicator of the strength of the community, what is? Your anecdotal evidence?

i’m feelin pretty 09 (maybe late 08) for sayin this so dont hate but…

where the feeze is kuroda lol

Every one is changing the character

This team qualified today:

And there’s a lot more going on this weekend…

holy shit

ino or inoue?

3 confirmed teams qualified over the weekend -

D-6: Jam Ojisama (NE) / Oroyan (YA) / Shie (KE)
F-2: Takami (CH) / Yuusuke (YU) / Muro (KE)
Europe: 5/09 Stunfest result - Justin Wong (CH) / Marn (YU) / Hsien Chang (KE)

Game Sakura results have yet to be annouced . I checked their site and they had some fun facts. 3S seems to be getting most amount of customers there and Kuroda occasionally shows up to play on Sundays.

There’s also another larger thread compiling all teams qualified for all games in SBO -
http://forums.shoryuken.com/showthread.php?t=189600

edit - correction, hsien chang was not present at stunfest, but he is confirmed to be the 3rd player teaming up with marn and jwong.

GET OUT…no kofiend on the team?? and they qualified in Europe???

that was sort of a smart move cuz now we’re gonna have 2 strong teams from the U.S

idk how good marn’s yun or choi’s ken is but still a solid team…cant wait to see the quals at Denjin

P.S- anyone know what are they doin in Europe anyways qualifying??

Boss, Rikimaru and Momochi won the Game-Inn Sakura Qualifier. Not sure if Boss used Ken or Yun.

^ Momochi should be using Yun so I would say Boss is using something else

Japanese Wiki Page says Boss played Yun and Momochi used Makoto!

Boss has been usin yun in the coop cup ranking battles so he would have to be using him

Who were on the other teams for that tournament

Just got exclusive insight, who has teamed up with who:

Tottori (Ryu), Furo (Yang), d (Dudley)
Aruka (Ibuki), Inoue (Ken), Kuroda (Oro)
KEI5000 (Alex), Uni (Necro), Kuzu00 (Chun Li)

Uni is back with his Necro and from the looks of it, he has stepped it up.
First Ibuki, Alex and Necros to kep an eye on.

I myself am also looking for one more member to join our team (with ACK).

It’s kinda disappointing to see an american team take the EU spot, but whatever.

not is true …i think the best players need go to sbo if they can win a EU spot is because they are good

the point of SBO staff giving the qualifiers to other nations is to see how strong that specific nation is…not so someone from another country can tear it up on their soil…if that were the case then you would see japanese players coming from japan to Europe, and U.S qualifiers and taking our spots

its true the best players need to go but the best players of that country need to go not just the best players in general

That’s the point, of course.
Anyway, rules are rules, the US players were just better, so good luck at SBO. Next time we should try to preserve what we have though.
We all would have loved to see an EU team rep at Tougeki. That’s it, really
