Tougeki/SBO 2009 Teams

Fran3S:

have not yet read the last 4 or 5 pages so no idea if this is old news
but at the last chance qualifier for III knit,spellmaster j and cabetsu had formed a team
too bad they didn’t get picked while many other inferior teams got the green light from the announcer or kuni
i remember sugiyama was with ksk and a ken maybe (whose name escapes me) ?
they lost right away to a strong pink makoto (he was doing the 100 % all the time)
i really didn’t want to bug ksk but in the end i thought "fuck it"
and asked him about gamervision / ranbats
because,frankly,they need to come back asap like in 2005-2006
he said third strike is “sleeping” but will be back "soon"
that’s what i understood anyway…

and…this is not quite tougeki related but last week we were in this really shitty game center in osaka (thank you,aurik !) and hayao was there
he was every bit as beastly as ever
i have no idea why he doesn’t show up / take part in tournaments anymore :
he didn’t even play that day . he waited until free play / after the local tournament .
i think he’s the best third strike player ever . him and kuroda .
i have played against many of the big names but those 2 in my opinion are on another different level .

third strike is still alive and kicking in japan and i love this game very very much . thank you .

Spellmaster J came out are you serious :looney:.

well monte 50 isn’t a shitty game center
it’s actually nice and very clean and doesn’t smell like piss and shit :annoy:
why the osaka crew doesn’t go to monte is puzzling
and 4 sfIII setups instead of 2…

probably the reason is that,just like game versus,the owner is a III player and a friend
so those places are not like a normal game center - but more like a group of friends meeting each other
that’s the impression i got anyway

ah
casa (the girl using elena),abe,umezono,chinta,k,etc were there too
k has a killer yun and he was doing keeper jin all the time :facepalm:

Thought you might have been talking about Monte, cause a few years ago when I was living in Kyoto, the best 3rd Strike players used to meet there. Is Oriku still playing 3S?

The Arcadia blog was updated today, with a short trailer for the second DVD (no gameplay footage though). In a few days they will post a list with the matches which will be shown on the DVD. http://www.famitsu.com/blog/arcadia/

Of course it would be dope if it had every single match but goddamn at least appreciate that there’s still a bunch of great matches here. Definitely will be great to watch. If you or anyone doesn’t think this DVD will still be gdlk then buy my 10 match evo DVDs from me.

not enough people were buying the dvd’s so enterbrain had no choice,really

and i have to say - all those matches for 10 dollars is definitely more than i expected

no tm is a bummer though - i remember some crazy comeback against a yun or a chun

my only complaint is that i didn’t get to see pino and many others in action after paying 3000 Y to get inside jcb hall

now,that’s the lame thing if you ask me…
