I’d put money down on these three teams. Possibly Haitani - Momochi - Daigo as well, with Haitani carrying the whole team.
Not to shoot down anyone else because these are all teams that qualified for SBO, but those 3-4 teams seem to have really good chances at taking it this year. It’s still early though, and Quals aren’t even over. If Kuroda - Boss - MOV do qualify, then I’ll add them to the list of possible winners(Boss carrying them, of course).

idk about kuroda, but MOV doesnt look to hot in the few vids hes been in these last few months.
Lately MOV’s been spending more time in SF4 so there’s some rust in him, and Kuroda, despite all of his knowledge and skill, always had strong teammates to back him up.
Also, Boss can carry any team.

true but then again its SBO lol how many times have we seen random teams make it thru the beginning rounds and the strong teams get randomed out =/ likeeee Chinta OCV’ing KO/RX/Nuki like wtf :sad:
but anyways right now it seems like Nuki/Kokujin/Tokura are on par with KO/Rikimaru/Ochibi if those 2 teams meet, i think Japan is goin to be plunged into a hell dimension =/
…yeah, I’m gonna have to agree here. Osaka always had strong players(they won SBO the year before), but nobody expected KO/RX/Nuki to get beat that early on in 2008. And by early on I mean in like the 2nd round or so.
EDIT: Speaking of Osaka taking SBO, that event in 2007 was just nuts. Besides RX killing everyone up to Grand Finals, this was also the year that no Tokyo team made it to Top 4: Osaka, Nagoya, Saitama, and Kanagawa.
