He never wins because SBO’s retarded single elimination format fucks him in the ass.
Single elim for team tournament is fine. It only bring problems to single tournaments like P4A or Marvel.
He never won cause he seems to not handle pressure really well, not for a stupid occidental excuse like you said.
so have Kuroda and MOV won more 3s SBOs than anyone else at this point?
I noticed no Kens in top 4 but didn’t realise only one in top 8, cheers.
How would using another format be fairer for KO? And what format did you have in mind?
some people play better in 2 out of 3. Or even long sets
Pierrot, Genki and Ike played amazing but in the end I’m glad Kuroda’s team won (…because I was worried about Kuroda committing suicide - had they lost in the finals!)
This is true, and allot of players like to stress the idea of playing a set because they feel it truly determines who the better player is. A long set allows you to cool down and ease into your situation, you also have plenty of time to adapt to your opponents tendencies. Single elimination doesn’t give you time to relax and shake the nerves off, its do or die! I love the idea of having one match to adapt, so much pressure it’s crazy. MOV is def an inspiration for me, OCV’ing as anchor, so hype.
what did Kuroda say before he almost cried ?
Of course some people perform better in longer sets, but yomipower said:
If KO felt that SBO’s single-elimination rule was silly then he doesn’t have to enter. He could even set up his own tournament and have players play round-robin groups of FT10s which then work in to a double-elimination bracket. Yomipower is complaining about SBO’s tournament format on behalf of KO when KO has repeatedly entered SBO and competed in their format of his own free will. For all we know KO actually likes single-elimination over double-elimination and whatever else.
Nvm, someone translated it for me : “Well… I’ve been hiding until now. But there’s a reason… there’s a reason for it.”
Decided to compile the character usage information from that top 32.
15 Chun players
11 Yun players
9 for Urien, Makoto, Ken
7 for Yang and Dudley
5 for Ibuki, Gouki, and Alex
3 for Ryu
2 for Oro, Remy, Elena, hugo
1 for Necro and Q
Twelve and Sean were not represented.
where the ryu players at
What did he mean by that ?
Yeah, everyone wants to know who beat who in the early rounds.
Indeed, TheShend has it all.
Does anyone know the “Team Names” of those who made Last Chance Qualifiers?
Of course, many of the 3s SBO '12 team names were hilarious…Kuroda Wants A Girlfriend, 3rd Gastronomy Club, Pizza Stream, Big Bang, etc.
yeeeeey.
Wow @ Genki vs. Boss…
how did the nuki v mov match go down?
