hi

tl;dr version: Let’s play 3rd strike in Toronto.

Hey fellow Toronto-based fighting game enthusiasts!

Does anyone here still play 3rd strike? Correct me if I’m wrong, but it’s as though people have just stopped playing. The 3rd strike community in TO used to be pretty lively back in the mid 2000s. You know, back when the Funland arcade was still in operation (as sketchy as it was).

Although public gaming these days has either gone underground or retreated to cyberspace, there are still those who seek to resurface it. Places like A&C Games/A&C World for example are doing a great job at bringing people together, mainly by providing a watering hole for the ones who game.

Anyhow, I’m all for trying to revamp the 3rd strike community here in Toronto. Anyone else?

people still play it at lovegety. ack is in toronto until next year (unless i misheard him) so he’s sometimes there on fridays.

Shout outs to Team Latin Lover.

Lets MM?

ill play you if im at A&C World, just ask for gohan

Getting to lovegety is a bit of a trek from downtown, but i can walk to A&C in about 15 mins. Still, I’ll try and hit it up one of these days.

cool. I try to be there a couple times a week, and will likely be there tomorrow after 4. i go by massey (like the hall) irl.

Hey guys, I’m new to the local scene as I’ve only lived in Toronto for a few months now but I’d love to get out to one of these tournaments. The downside to this is that I only own a ps3 hori stick and nothing for an xbox. Does anybody have any suggestions for where I can go to participate? (pref something I can TTC to from Yonge + Eglinton)

Thanks looking forward to some games with you guys.

You’ve got TOSF HQ, TTT Danger Room, and Heroes World casuals. Check the threads for details.

Does anyone know where I can find a Mad Catz SE/TE Stick in the GTA area? I’m stuck using the pad atm =/.

I would suggest ordering one online.

This is the stick that I got and it’s pretty damn good:
http://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B0041SGD44/ref=s9_simh_gw_p63_d1_i2?pf_rd_m=A3DWYIK6Y9EEQB&pf_rd_s=center-2&pf_rd_r=0D276G7SW0SK33EDJZCF&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=463383511&pf_rd_i=915398

You can order TE sticks online at Amazon.com (I believe they’ll ship to GTA it’ll cost though) and there’s one other site I’m blanking on right now but this thread is where I got all of my advice.

http://gamesharkstore.ca/ Madcatz sells stuff in canada now

you can also go to heroes world at warden & hwy 7, they have plenty in stock.

hi-

I’m selling an iPhone 4 locked to ATT on latest firmware, as well as a HRAP 3 for PS3. I live near yonge and finch area.
I’d be willing to trade the hrap3 for equivalent or TE stick for Xbox 360.

pm me.thx
