I dunno where this beef started, and I’m a nobody in this scene, but my two pennies:
First is to get over your fixation with cheapness. Ultimately, that kind of mentality will only hold back your gameplay. Second, why would you ask somebody to play anything but their best against you? If they are lowering their skill level to play you, then you are lowering the speed at which you approach their level, because you only learn how to defeat a tactic by becoming more and more familiar with situations in which it arises. The whole scene is held back if you start promoting that kind of sand bagging and limited scope of play.
I accept my ownage graciously, and come back with a fresh set of tokens asking for more. That shit is how you learn.

what has Samir done… ok basically it comes down to this…
he is like the top player at Funland, he goes everyday.
people on a lower level are playing the game, he knows he is way better then them and comes and uses them as a punching bag. He bullys the machine, what is the point of him taking out people not on his level?
you guys may say ohh you learn from a better player, I believe that sorta but not in this case, his level is too high for anyone to learn and not get frustrated.
i see it like this when i pop in FL and see some non experience players playing, I don’t join in because they are having fun, they are smiling and learning the game. I leave it alone until they are done. Samir in the other hand will show off and take out the poor bastards trying to have fun. thing is he does this EVERY FUCKIN DAY
can he not do that every time, can he not bully the machine every day. It’s ridiculous. its like you going to play basket ball at the only court available downtown and Chris bosh (forget the celebrity status for a moment) is at the court every time and plays you even though u are no where near his level of game play, after a while it is retarded and makes no sense. or how about you get in the Octagon with Chuck Liddell, you have no where near the fighting skills as him but Chuck shows up and uses you as a punching bag everyday is that fair? no that is some asshole shit. Samir needs high level opponents and should be going to Orbit not funland where he has no competition. That is what Samir is doing and its very annoying.

I actually agree with you now that you point it out about lowering the skill level. On paper! but in game it just seems really frustrating, I like to fight rush down go at it. take a risk, have fun. not turtle and waiting and bar charging in a non tourney setting. just ruins the momentum.

BTW, if you don’t think turtling and bar charging is fun, then you should probably rethink your own style. I’ve played Eric more than enough, and I know he doesn’t JUST sit there and bar charge, he plays footsies and keeps you out while making use of the time to up his meter. If you’re losing to that it means you’re losing the footsies war, so you wouldn’t win if he was rushing you down in the first place. \
You claim it ruins the momentum. . . That’s kind of hte point. He’s bar charging because YOU have the momentum, and I’m willing to bet he rushes you down as soon as he gets it back due to you jumping in like an idiot. Don’t call people out for playing to win, cause you can’t win in tourney if you don’t play to win in casuals.
Maybe I shouldn’t have sandbagged.

hey i was at Gvision the other day and i saw this guy, i think his name was Kenzo or something, anyway he was the biggest Yun scrub ive ever seen (he was this cheap ass bar charging red Yun) . I beat him like 600 times in a row with gouki SA3. then this blue gouki (called G-ROW??? i think ) started playing me and i owned his ass all day, lets just say i taught him “THE TRICK”. Then there was this green Ken named KFC (clearly an RTSD wannabe) and he was like bet me $100 that he could do more kara srk’s in a row than i can, he did like 7 which was impressive but i did 271 so i think i owned him pritty bad.
Then I won SBO by myself with Sean.

ok guys… it was more of a vent. I just don’t agree on how someone name calls others , and think its unfair the Samir issue. when it comes to actual GamePlay I will admit it, you are right, I’m just crying cause I get frustrated in the game, I lack the skill of yall. And I do jump in like an idiot damn it! Eric is guilty of frustration too cause Samir would come to me and say yo man eric yells at me and says he is gonna punch me cause i beat him in 3s… ya that’s kinda lame dood…
