Just waiting on a PCB, but it’s been received, prints, buttons and stick done

Cayman’s a great place. Small, though (70k-ish population across three islands lol).
No arcades left, either. =( I’m hoping to fix that within the next year - small arcade/lan center hybrid.

edit: we have TONS of Canadians down here - I’m not sure what it is (well, okay - the beaches and the exchange rate/salary currency help, I’m sure ). You’d possibly feel right at home. =p

back to business

I been tossing around the idea for a Happ box, but I am not sure if there is a market for 30+ of them at once… if you want one then let me know and I will total up the numbers to see if it makes sense…

I rather do a design change on the current japanese box… here’s some of the changes I wanted to make… let me know of any others:

upsize to 8.5 x 14… inside the box I notice it’s getting a bit cramped and the sixadpter doesn’t really fit all that well… the extra 3" should give enough room… also I think it sits better on laps when it’s a bit wider and the art work can be more accommodating
slightly bigger bazel (wood surrounding the top) would allow a more rounded edge…
moving the back three buttons to the side… I notice that it’s not very ergonomic to be reaching for the top buttons
I am going to find a different guy to cut the tops… so i am hoping he can accomodate 6 and 8 button layout as well as bottom plexi… no promises but i will try my best
I am still going to use screw ins… snap ins will still work with the GNS mod

you can make two different plexi tops, one with 6 holes and one with 8 holes. the box top can still be 8. I think this offers more flexibility, people can swap between 6 and 8 button layouts.

I like your redesign ideas, so take me off batch 2 and I will wait for this instead.
