Toronto blank box on sale

Seriously - Still very much interested if you are having trouble getting in touch with the people that still owe you money. The boxes are fantastic, would love to get my hands on another one, regardless of primed/4th hole’d or not - would gladly purchase “as is”.

I know you said there will probably not be a third batch, but I would also like to put my name in just in case you change your mind.

The wires are covered in braided fabric.

Here are the pics of my boxes. The boxes didn’t looked good (I’m sure customs here take a peeked at it) but the items inside it are professionally packed. The boxes exceeds my expectations. Good job, joe!

Btw, thanks for the sandpapers and sand block

I just received my box an hour ago. I would post photos, but Tracer1 already has done it for me. The packaging and box looks exactly the same… except that I only got one.

Now, I’m just waiting on my Cthulu from Nareg to arrive. I should have it sometime next week.

I also need to get my art printed out at Kinkos.

Man, I’m a bit worried about drilling holes. I’ve never drilled a thing in my life. I guess it’s time to look up guides…

Thanks Sillypuddy for the super fast order and shipping. Everything came in perfect condition. I think I have the USB hole drilled onto the joystick side, but that’s okay because I’m sportin’ a Jilf. =]

Here is my 1st finished box thanks to sillypuddy!

Stunning! :wow:

nice mirror finish. how many coats of paint and clear coat did you apply on that box?

ricenoodle…

can you try to run the wire for the USB like duals and let me know if it works out…

you guys should post these pics up to the “i love my custom stick” thread

@RiceNoodles
What stick is it, Sanwa or Seimitsu?

Looks like a seimitsu LS-32

Beautiful mirror finish

Hey Joe,

It seems like you’re the guy to ask about boxes. Let me know if any are still available and if so, how much shipped to Anaheim CA 92807 USA?

James

Too many I think. It’s not about the coat… its about the sanding in between and the final wet sand and buff/polish.

Sorry about that Joe, got too excited. Here is the pic. I drilled this hole myself so I dunno if its what you wanted to see.

got my box today, looks waaaaay nicer than the pics can show.

one concern though, dunno if it’s been mentioned. the link to the Template for artwork isnt accurate. its close, but its off. off enough to see the white behind the art. i guess i should’ve looked at the examples a little more closely on the 1st page, there you can see that the Ryu and Chun sticks arent cut out exaclty. the Viper one is how i’m going to have to do mine.

print out artwork WITHOUT the buttons / stick. then put the plexi over the top, trace out the holes, then cut. ugh. off to kinkos tomorrow.

anyway, i’m VERY pleased with the quality of the box. thx joe, much appreciated. i’ll post pics when i’m done.

yes, I noticed that. I have since done the same with the step you suggested, don’t print out the buttons which I wouldn’t want to do with the my seimitsu buttons anyways. another thing that will help is to resize template down to 27.3cm x 21cm for the exact size so it’s easier to know where to trim off, measure yours to double check, should be the same.

Hey Guys,
I’ve been reading these forums for several months (though I just recently joined the site) but still feel overwhelmed when considering the prospect of making an arcade stick. As such, I am considering purchasing one of these cases to ensure that my finished project looks presentable.
However, could anyone please give me a brief description of what I would need to do in order to complete the stick after obtaining a case. I understand that I will need to purchase the actual stick and buttons separately and also obtain a PCB matching my desired system of use, but, other than that, is it just a matter of installing said components, or am I missing something?
I apologize for my ignorance but would greatly appreciate any help. Thank you for your time and patience.

that’s pretty much it, there are plenty of pictures showing you inside of the stick. check out this site for details, http://www.slagcoin.com/joystick.html.

Radiused inside edges for the screw hole posts - great attention to detail.

ricenoodle… how come you didn’t rotate the LS32 90 degree so the harness comes “down” … it would make the cable routing much cleaner

  1. the button layout and the dustcover is just there for reference to position the art work… when i printed my own art work out, I would just take off all the layers except for the joystick hole… then I would print it out at Staples and using the top plexi as the template, I would cut out the circles FROM THE BACK OF THE SHEET … the position and circle is perfect every time

  2. with the usb plug, i rotated it 90 degrees so that the other side goes out vertical… I will take a picture and you will see what I mean… it clears the buttons better

I didnt like the look of the bolts I used to hold the joystick lol.
