my box came in today it’s really nice and im surprised by how nice the primer is, didn’t expect the finish to be so smooth. would i need to sand it down a little before painting? i’ve never done a real paint job before.

i would just take some fine sandpaper and any parts that are not ultra smooth (there should be very fee) give it a light rub and then just paint it

i also took one of those and just clear coated it… it looks nice the way it is too

be careful with sanding the edges of the box. i was doing a bit of sanding with 400 grit sandpaper, couple swipe along top edge of the box edge and primer paint was gone and you get this brown line. i’ve since painted it over. gonna see how that looks.

i was going back and forth on colour choice at home depot, but ended up with gloss white since i liked the clean look the white primer, maybe i should have just grabbed clear paint like u suggested. also bought some white rubber feet, good fit with the colour and m5 x 16mm screws for the mounting plate.

I got my box on Wednesday and finally got around to finishing it today. I got lazy with the painting and left it in primer, i actually like the flat finish. I gotta thank you Joe for making such a nice easy to work on box. I’m still waiting on 2 buttons since i ordered 6 instead of 8. All in all i think it’s not bad for my first build, i wish i could tackle the actual box building but when guys like Joe offer such a good product at such a sweet price why bother

Will JLF-TP-8YT-SK joystick fit to this box?

yes, it fits. the box is designed for JLF and then Joe added support for LS-32-01.
