The first set went down to deuce and even then they had to play 4 more matches before Mago took it. This is gonna be close I think.

Not bad but a loss is a loss. Mago v Daigo should be interesting but I bet Daigo takes it.
great comebacks in the 2nd and 3rd round of the 9th game by mago, daigo looked like a complete mess when down 2-4, looked like he was about to pull a Chris G and blame the stick or system but still I’ve never seen him mess up ex hadou fadc ultra before… and he’s abandoned solar plexus into c.hp period… going with solar plexus into jab…

I would pay so much money to see Daigo lose his shit and throw a stick during a match.

This is interesting development… I remember during he last godsgarden online Mago dominated this Fei-Long vs Ryu match. Obviously this is a different game (2012 vs Super), but I didn’t think the matchup was this much different…
Honestly… if Daigo didn’t keep droppin his links he would’ve won 6-3 or at worst 6-4. He has messed up solar plexus at least 10 times, the latest being just 10 seconds ago.
Daigo finally did solar plexus c.hp and it helped him get mago to a pixel… (was really clutch since mago had like a 70% to 10% life lead and he needed to hit this combo to continue the comeback and he has dropped it so many times today) and than he went for ex srk and mago backdashed it lol… mago has 4 in a row.

Kaz’s final standing was 4th place (thanks to the game differential being +4 compared to Fuudo’s +2) so Daigo has to beat Fuudo to face Kaz.

It’s rare to see someone eat their words that quickly and that completely. 
First set Daigo was outplaying Mago, only reason it got to 7-5 was due to Ume’s dropped links. He was in training mode in between sets and from the sounds of it was trying to fix his link he was dropping… it got worse in the second set and Mago started outplaying him, which led to 6-1 for Mago.
I mean ffs he was doing solar plexus into c.lp and that’s it, the one and only time time he clutched the link out he went for an ex srk to chip the win and mago backdashed it.
Mago 2, Daigo 1, 1 round each both on 15%… Mago manages to ex chickenwing through a hadoken to take a 3-1 lead, very important game, that could be the moment he wins this.
