I have a problem where I tend to want to sub quite a few characters in most fighting games very strongly. I never have trouble picking a main, but I always have the urge to pick up at lease 3-4 characters on the side, because I’m just that fond of them.
Would it be detrimental to eventually try and pick up that many characters, or am I overthinking it?
I don’t think it matters how many characters you try to pick up. In the end, you’re still probably going to have 1 character that you feel the most comfortable with.
yea but if you try to play with every character on the roaster then it will be hard to master anyone.
Never heard someone say there too many character I always thought that people want big roster…right?
The people who place high in the Walraven Weekly Ultra tournaments in Detroit tend to all play 3-4 charters at a high level. You will have the occasional single character player that shows up and places high one week, then gets destroyed the following week because the get counter picked. They also tend to be able to play the rest of the cast at at least a casual level judging by thefact when we had our random select tournament along side the regular one the same group of guys were in the top 8
learning to play multiple characters can be useful because you will better acquainted with all the different matchups vs your main
