Too add to the “Tekken cloned VF”, I forget the name of the mag but I remember reading in a magazine that was interviewing Yu, and he mentioned that one of the programmers left AM2 after VF1 was done to work at Namco then about a year or so down the road Tekken came out. Can’t remember if he was the head guy of the Tekken project or not tho’.
At least Tekken has it’s own style and play(whether good or bad), but the it was closer to VF in the beginning because they had to of had something to build off of.
Is this list a joke? It seems kinda… I don’t know… fake.
Granted, I can see Itagaki listing all five Tekkens as his most hated. He is that pathetic. My only question is this: Where’s Tekken Tag on that list of his?
The man has a right to his own opinion. I may like Tekken 5, but his opinions doesn’t bother me a bit. (could be the fact that I didn’t mind DOA. Call it what you will)
You have to admit, it IS hilarious that all top 5 hated games on his list are Tekken games. This IS comic gold
He’s arrogant yes, but at least most of his games are pretty good, unlike a certain “desktop commander”. (Derek Smart. The guy who made the AWFUL Battlecruiser series. He makes Itakagi look humble. )
