How much money did everybody spend?

Ness, was the prize money enough to get everything all back and possibly then some?

Kang’s travel expenses for Philly trip (food not included):

NJ Turnpike South - $5.25
Ben Franklin Bridge - $3.00

NJ Turnpike North - $5.85
George Washington Bridge - $6.00
I-95 North - $1.25

Gas - $35 ($20 @ $2.03/gal and $15 @ $1.89/gal)

===

$20.10 total for tolls

$55.10 grand total

What the hell… My last two weekly paychecks have been under $200 each, and I’m spending that much money (plus 8+ hours on the road by myself) for some video games?

Also Gavin’s carpool driving so fast that I couldn’t keep up (after I asked to let me follow); Gavin telling me to go one way, then his car going somewhere else; and the phone call people made to me after they realized I had disappeared to make sure I didn’t get lost or into an accident or anything -->

James/Jamie actually called me to check up before anybody from the TGA car called me in case anybody is wondering. Thanks to everybody who offered to carpool with me after I said I didn’t want to pool with so many people in one van in the first place also.

It’s been a while since my last road trip (which was with Juan). Unfortunately, I had forgotten the conversation I had with him that day when I concluded that driving to either New Jersey or Philly by yourself is totally not worth it money-wise. You save more cash, patience, wear on your car, and overall stress to carpool with friends.

If anybody in this thread considers me a friend, I’d appreciate it to be reminded not to drive by myself the next time I accidently forget and consider doing it.

I forget how much bus tickets from the casinos and the two Chinatowns cost. Is it $20 one way or $20 round trip?

$20 for round trip CT-NY tickets. $20 for round trip NY-Philly tickets.

$40 total and plus I get a free meal and some gambling coupons also. Only downside is that you need to contact in Philly to pick you up, otherwise you’ll be spending more money on cab rides.

I like $40 plus some free food a lot better than that $55.10 plus your friends ditching you on the highway because they didn’t care whether you made it back home or not.

If the tickets are only one-way, that makes $80 for travel expenses and I guess me driving on my own was a good idea after all then.

I was able to bring a small TV, my own blankets, and whatever else I felt like putting into my car that would of been impractical to bring had I taken the bus.

I estimate that I spent around $90 cash for the weekend (travel expenses plus around $40 in various food). Big thanks to Chase for letting me stay over his place and save me a good chunk of money. I also saved money by not entering anything and just playing casuals instead (although it didn’t feel as if I got as many matches in as I do for a typical session).

I don’t like how much money I spent at all…

… although it’s not as bad as Smooth losing his $200 camera, memory card, and Ernest getting the $100+ speeding ticket driving home last time.

I don’t know how else to say it, but I really didn’t like having nobody to split the toll and fuel costs. I am picky about traveling with too many people (so no van and 8 people in a hotel room meant for 2 stuff), but I figured my friends would respect that about me. I guess not though, and just let me travel on my own instead.

Maybe somebody here can suggest to me an alternate route to Philly next time? Maybe one that avoids the pricey NJ Turnpike and the stupidly pricey George Washington Bridge?

I traveled with James/Jamie before and he would take the Tappan Zee bridge to avoid the GWB toll. I forgot how to go that way though. Even the $1.25 I-95 N toll was pretty annoying as well and I wish knew the way around that if possible.

I don’t even know what’s the point of me writing this though. I’ve actually concluded already that I actually had a better idea where to drive than anybody in the TGA carpool and I should of just left Philly on my own instead. Unless it’s somebody my age or older (like Ernest, Jamie, or VDO) I’m going to assume driver inexperience every single time from now on and not depend on them for anything.

wow kang u need jesus really bad

this thread keeps gettin better and better

i understand if u had money issues but jesus 90 aint really shit to spend on an out of state tourney

i usualy spend 60 just goin to tga for ranbats

pick me up to, I’m in norwood., right down the street.

dam kang, i woulda went with you if i could’ve got out of studying., next time i’ll just give you 90$, it aint nothin for me…but you should try and gain a litlle perspective from this experience…the only other place i know of that you can get all your friends in the same room doing something they enjoy, is school(5000$-50-000$) or a club(drinks alone 100$-500$-1000$…not including hos)…I have SR22 insurance so i can drive anyones car insured, so no worrys bout tickets or accident or whatever.

…90$ is cheap, i spent more at B5 and i lived down the street.

90 bucks is pretty cheap. think about it, if you had another person it woulda been 45, and 4 people like 30 bucks…

what i don’t get is:
why go thru all the trouble of going to PA… and NOT entering any tourneys…?.. wtf…

idk

Nec was pretty sick. Too bad i sucked it up in everything i fucking enetered. 0-2 in every tourney except 3s. 1-2 in that one. Jesus, i suck.

I dont get J-wong entering CvS2, getting knocked down into the loosers and bouncing out. Doesnt make much sence to me.

Craz he left because he was working in the morning. pay attention! :looney: :looney: :looney:
