i agree- earlier start time, turnout is unknown and getting a tourney done early is no crime
shank u my dawg but i got to disagree with u abouting raising the entry fees, only a handfull of players that r thinking about coming, have had an opportunty to play a japanese players—in my mind thats the biggest carrot u cud have for someone into fighting games… raised entries: (1) there will be a handfull of strong players per game who have a realistic chance of winning (shit is not even cutthroat(single elim) so random wont have that much of a bearing on who wins), winner takes all-10 buck entry only bennfits the few people per game who have a shot (2)will take away entries in lesser popular games (st, kof, slash) (3)doesnt encourage players to enter games they vaguely play to fill up brackets (pissing away 2bucks is quite different then pissing away 10bucks) (4) takes away from andy ends since that less money to spend on drinks, soda, wateva
OK this has turned to a serious issue r u gonna up it and do a REAL tournament or not? I dont c why not, only need couple people to run other tournaments and it will create more business, NY and a canadian player said they will come. I mean noone around here loses out if u dont change the format, but out of towners wont come and we lose out on the compitition wich is really what this is all about for us(guys who like to play).
