I really like how you’ve done the shadows… it’s really nice and looks top-notch. Only thing that bugs me is the shadow cast by the shovel. It makes the rock(?) that it’s on look flat… shadow should vary with contour of the coat thrown over the rock.
Sorry but I’m gonna have to delete the img code for the “Beauty & the Beast” pic.
No nudity on SRK, even artistic nudity. Even a pic that’s as awesome as that.
Viewers can feel free to PM you for the link though.
Because here I am impressed again that you took the time Tokoyama, to make wood
look like wood. Very nice. TAh, and not only that I didn’t even know that you had your
own little Akuma VS Gouken comic in the works. Sweet mang.
hey… i have an odd request… i was just wondering if you could draw ken from alpha with long hair and the hair band tying his hair back doing the SHORYUKEn flaming one… and if you could color it id like the default red color costume and then the yellow/gold color costume… he is my fav char and i would proudly rep. it as my background!
edit: I am also looking to use it for my arcade stick background too… so… if you are interested let me know!
interesting take on gouki and gouken. i never really noticed how much emphasis you put into your noses until now. gouken’s face is awesome! on the background too man. the wood is TIZIGHT!
i keep forgetting to say thanks for all the comments, guys. i really appreciate it.
KORYNTHYAN-thanks. the wood doesn’t take that long to draw either =]
kandoken- i’m glad someone noticed the emphasis on the way i draw noses. i exaggerate them alot, especially on villains and old ugly people haha.
Dang man… Going from page 1 to 21, you can really see u gotten WAYY betterr with ur inking and your coloring, good shieet. I’m going to try an not fall asleep during Drawing II NOW!.
thanks sean2kx, i see a lot of improvment too. some of the few pages are straight out embarrassing.
hmmm, where did i learn my line work? that’s a hard question. i originally learned how to draw the figure from a lot of burne hogarth books. but now that i’m studying under phil jimenez, my approach is totally different. i try to use as less sketchy and useless lines as possible. and for illustration purposes, i like to have a lot of hyung tae kim and bryan hitch drawings laying around for inspiration =]
