yeah, if #2 does not accept the challenge, we will have a Round Robin for the right to be called #2 saturday. i will give him a call today to verify that he knows the stipulations and deadlines. He hasnt accepted my challenge either lol

Barry accepted BOTH of my challenges, he just hasn’t bothered to show up or post responses. Cole got DQ’d the moment he didn’t accept Barry’s challenge, Barry however has had a couple weeks time to accept. All I’m saying is, I’m probably not going to the to fu Saturday because I have fam in town and Barry should not have the head band after not playing any challenges for this long.

I know these statements are valid and I already once accepted my DQ, but was given it back under popular vote.
Eman- Our agreement was to resolve our match at the last TSRB, but you were still in the tourney and we didn’t have any recording equipment, then we resolved to have it when I got back from EVO, but a combination of not having recording equipment and you leaving early have prevented that. I am sorry that the one week that all the stars were aligned I was not there to have it. Before I continue, I would like to clear the air of any negative connotations that last statement may be seen as. I am just as responsible for the hold up on the matches as any of the circumstances and do not wish to engage you in a thread dispute, which I know tends to happen…we cool?
That said I will be taking a long needed break from SSF4 to reflect on where my game is at and weather I can make the jump from casual player to a competitor. Honestly I thought I would have had a win in a tournament by now or at least a top 8 at TSRB and have a feeling that if I’m not going to strive to win I need to scale back on my play. I’ve basically played every day for a little over a year and am not where I would like to be at. I am unsure if I will be at Toe-Fu on Saturday and if you want to round robin the #2 spot that is fine with me. I’ll just take it back after my break, which will probably continue through 3rd strike’s DLC launch, gonna see if I can learn some stuff by playing that game, maybe it will improve my SF4 game. I will be picking SF4 back up in time to prep for NWM3 and plan to put up a fight worthy of winning.
Any words of advice as to how I can make it to that competitor level would be appreciated…
Greg- I would still like to be a part of your event at your gym, you really need to find a catchy name for it. Let me know how I can help promote or otherwise be an assistant to this event. I’m not sure about it being on the Monday after NWM tho. Either way give me a call some time and let me know how I can help.
Another side note I am working on the dojo’s supporter banner I promised to make, I actually have an initial draft but am working on making a cool header for it and finding a good background image. I’ll try to have something worked out in a couple weeks.

a break is needed every now and again. i hear ya. the dojo will have to RR the headband but no hard feelings. i can respect the fact that you know your limits and when to step away.
of course! i will need all the help i can get!, the tournament date (nov 14) was intended to coincide with the UMvC 3 launch. my gamestop sponsor said “if the turnout is good enough, we can do another for the Street fighter cross tekken midnight release.” i really want to ride on the back of NWM with all the people in town. im sure this is far enough out that people can plan for it.
