This is some interesting and funny stuff, I’ve heard of Mugen, but I’ve never really taken notice to it, until watching these vids. I have to admit, some of the characters are retarded (retarded ='s broken) like cough Evil Ryu…Geese, even Evil Ken did some crazy shit, like that combo that he launched on Terry.
Evil Ryu’s Shinku-Hadouken hitting you on charge, plus it seems you can move along with the opponent while that happens, and upon release all of it still connects for ridiculous damage, not to mention he’s able to recover instantly from it…damn, this is some crazy shit, I have to get this and try it myself for kicks.
jeez why are people ripping apart the characters ? everything is pretty much custom made, you rip the sprites from a game and then you customise the hitboxes yourself, along with the sound and program the movement/moves. Some people edit the sprites and give them new moves, you can hardly compare it to real games and expect it to be balanced, combo video from mugen would probably have characters made by different people so its not going to be balanced.
Mugen died long time ago. There another source being worked upon, slow progress, electabyte were making mugen for windows, but some idiots released the beta and they got pissed off and left, hack for winxp version is there somewhere but ram leaks and whatnot make it crash all the time.

yeah, Muen will most likley never become a serious fighter. Which is ok by me, i feel its main porpous is is being an awesome party game. The Possibilitys are endless and its really fun. Its like when playing gold vs gold characters in Guilty gear. people wondering “What if” this character could do this or that, and make it happen.
Like the Terry, my favorite character. He has every move every version of Terry ever had and then even some origional ones. Where else is that possible??!

I like them alot. its nice to see some origional ones, instead of just sprite rips with unoriginal moves. me and my freinds play as them tryin to “break” them, finding the most damaging combos and such. Me and my friends Enjoy your wor a lot. I know its not much of a prize or anything, a mugen creator is probly the most unapreaceted job on the planet. LOL but thanks for your work anyway. Drunken Mugen partys are the best.

Psycho Shredder nearly invented the “broke shit” genre back in 1999. Elque was also made before Evil Ken. Never seen Geese X before.

I am extremely out of the loop with current MUGEN. It’s the old stuff I remember. The last character I’ve downloaded was Koopa Troopa by LegatoB. Coins popping out during Shun Koopa Satsu = Win.

OHHHH MAAAANNN!! Wow this takes me back. I remember the first time one of my good friends downloaded this game, we search high and low for a Ken sprite to download. Well we suceeded…it was Evil Ken! We were like “WHAT THE FUCK!!! EVIL KEN!!!”. we got so hyped about him that we went to go find an Evil Ryu, and again we suceeded. So we matched them up and was already amazed by the intros they had. But when the match started…all hell broke lose! This match was soo intense that my friend’s computer froze! LMAO
Now it’s been nearly 4 years since I’ve seen Mugen, but when I found it, I was quick to get these two back (and then some).
