To any/all lifters

Only 1000 cals today? That is stupid.

No wonder you are so weak and pathetic

Is that metric? :coffee:

simple = eat more I use to be skinny as fuck at 18 too, as a matter of fact I’m gonna go get me some chicken fillet. hmmmmmmmm

To gain weight, you must consume more calories than you burn with physical activity everyday. Stop masturbating lol

Did you just link a pic of a video game character when trying to prove the anatomy of the human body?

You are so much full of fail that I dont even know what to tell you to rid you of your ignorance. Just go outside once in a while.

So we have skeletor asking how to get big when he knows he doesn’t eat enough

The weight lifting thread

Also big guy with abs

It’s called a joke retard. Shall i purchase you a sense of humor? If I was trying to prove a point I wouldve posted an argument to what he said. Maybe you shouldnt put words in peoples mouth you fucking idiot.

You are so much full of fail that I dont even know what to tell you to upgrade your reading comprehension. Just go to an English class once in a while.

When I was your age my lowest weight was 140 lbs and I’m also 5’11. Couldn’t imagine what would’ve I looked like at 115. Now my weight goes around 165 to 171.

Squoats

LOL wannabe spergs can’t read for shit. The correct diet/routine for abs -is- work, otherwise everybody would have them for free. If you’re that conscious about what girls think, being thin OR huge with no abs and no definition isn’t gonna impress anybody.

Old bitches love me and my flat stomach, that’s kinda pathetic but I’m taking from experience.

EXECELLENT MUWAHAHAHA

O yeah!?

Dude has a big frame, but his BF percentage is low. Look at the vascularity on his arm. You don’t get that being at high BF%age. A lot of you are really fucking ignorant.

It really is quite sad. It just irks me when people dont understand fitness and how the human body responds to certain things because they get taken advantage of so easily.

So I guess this is the new weightlifting thread? If so I guess I will post up some stuff…

Well I was lucky enough to see that there was a theater showing Genration Iron. Needless to say I went to see it and saw that the whole theater was filled with lifters and strong men, lol. Pretty cool though because even though I didn’t know any of the guys (and girls) in the theater, the moment I walked in, it was obvious I was sized up, lol. Not nearly as big as the dudes there, but It was all good.

The movie was pretty decent. I was happy it followed some bodybuilders that I have been following for years (Dennis Wolf, Hidetada Yamagishi, Kai Greene). I didn;t know much about Phil Heath, but man that dude is a huge diva and a prick. I can really respect Kai Greene’s methodology and work ethic, and really wish Hidetada would get more recognition. Dennis wolf sounds just like Arnold which is cool. But all in all the movie was really good and had a WTF moment that you will recognize instantly (it involves Branch Warren). If the film is showing in your area then I suggest checking it out.

As far as lifting goes, I wanna S/O @SWBeta for all the lifting advice dude has given me, I can tell I am getting stronger and smarter with my lifts, which has really got me excited for each day of training. I am still trying to learn to like leg days, but it will come with time. My shrugs are doing really better and I find myself wanting to go super heavy, but am taking my time and building my form. Also I am doing tons more cardio due to boxing which is helping me lean out a bit better.

With this new workout schedule, which has me training two times a day, five days a week, I see that I am really in desperate need of a pre-workout. So does anyone have any recommendations? I hear good things about Muscle Pharm Assault. So since I am new to pre-workouts, and advice would be great.

Do lots of calisthenics and eat plenty of natural foods.

I’ve been working out consistently for 4 years now. When I started at the age of 19, I weighed about 118 lbs. I’m 5’6 btw. Anyway I can tell you what has worked for me ( I now weigh 154 lbs, trying to get to 165).
[1] I started to eat, A LOT. Anywhere from 6-8 meals a day, basically eating every 2-3 hours.
Mainly pasta, turkey, chicken breast, steak, tuna if you feel like throwing that in between, yogurts, mixing protein with ice cream, eggs (boiled), plantains, shrimp, burritos, peanut butter. It’s ok if you have “bad” food, just don’t make it your main source of protein or caloric intake. Also I think its key to keep in mind, that its not about eating “big” meals, its about keeping your body fueled, thats the point of the 2-3 hour consistency. Just because you didn’t eat all day but ate at McDonald’s and got a bunch of calories doesn’t mean you’ll gain weight…ESPECIALLY if you’re an ectomorph (the natural skinny frame)

[2] The only supplement that I can honestly say that truly helped me gain weight and more importantly muscle was MHP’s Up Your Mass. I was taking 8 scoops a day, 4 in the morning, 4 after my workout. Up Your Mass is a protein but its also a weight gainer due to its extensive amount of carbs. I don’t use weight gainers anymore, because they tend to burn your pockets and your body eventually gets used to that type of caloric intake.

[3] Lifting heavy. People tell you all that shit about “going slow, and light reps” but honestly if you’re trying to gain, especially if you’re frame is naturally like mine, a ectomorph, then you need to lift heavy. I do four sets for each respective excercise, my first two sets I do light-to-medium, my last two sets I go max.

Anyway…i hope what I wrote helps somewhat…if not, eh lol

P.S. if you want to be more specific about bulking…try out Chris Jone’s grocery shopping lol

Haven’t tried it but both of my boys have tried Assault, they both heavily approved it.

Of course with 80% of americans being overweight, having a flat stomach is a big thing now. Abs on a skinny dude is like big tits on a fat chick, it don’t count.

you could have a visible 6 pack and still look fat.

Now that was done via liposuction to get rid of the subcutaneous fat between the skin and the muscle in his abs. However he didn’t do anything for the visceral fat that surrounds his internal organs. So if your subcutaneous fat is low but your visceral fat is high you can have visible abs and still look fat.

That’s been a trend with bodybuilders these days generally referred to as a GH gut. While the GH may have a part in that, as well as the insulin injections, along with them binging the day of a contest so they have a lot of food in their stomachs, its also a case of getting that visceral fat.

and as long as those judges keep on rewarding those that go for mass at the expense of a large gut, it’ll keep on coming up every year.
