Technically, there’s nothing you can’t do on a controller (sf nuby pad for example) that can’t be done on a stick. People just find sticks better because:
a. that’s what they’re used to.
b. That’s what the games are built for.
BUT, seeing as it IS possible to do any move on the game on a pad, some people could possibly PERFER using a pad! (basically, c-t, it’s not a fact. Please, stop making it out to be one.)
Its best to start playing on a stick for the simple reason that if you ever go to arcades to play with others, you will be using a stick wheither you like it or not.
So its best to have one of your own to practice on. This is the only reason i originally began using a stick.
360 as in X-box 360? Don’t bother trying to use store-bought stuff.
To get a GOOD arcade stick the way they are meant to be, you’ll have to buy a custom stick. Either from a person who makes them, or a place like MAS that specializes in real sticks.
As for me i bought a StreetFighter Anniversary edition stick on e-bay, and modified it myself using Happ arcade parts.
“Cosmetic” is strictly looks. I don’t like how it *plays. *I don’t want to play on anything that is bigger than my two hands; not simply because it’s bigger than my hands, but because it inevitably requires more unnecessary movement as you play…
Didn’t I say I give up? I simply reminded myself of every other internet debate I’ve ever been in. And all of them end up the same way, with no ones opinion being changed. I need to stop posting in these threads, only if I didn’t have an uncontrollable urge to do so.
well… i dont play with sticks outside of the arcade
i just recently got myself a stick (hori fighting stick 3), and uhh… its not working for me right now so i dont know much about home sticks but…
as far as arcade versus console pads… the stick wins hand down. its just way more easier to do what you want everything is laid out right in front of you. no triggers, no pause button troubles.
