Haha, I know. It’s just funny seeing the back and forth. I think its even funnier how a lot of non-Memphians think we’re really at each others throats with the shit talk. It’s a little hard to explain to others sometimes because of what everyone reads on SRK. In reality the Memphis guys are actually a close-knit group of friends.

Whenever people ask me about it I tell them it’s like wrestling. We may seem like worst enemies when we play and shittalk but behind the scenes we’re all friends. Except for a few…lmao

The circumstances of my move here are depressing to say the least. I did drop by Play n Trade last week to say hello. I’m sure you’ll see me drop by the arcade some time. (After I get back up on my feet and start working/ actually leaving the house to get some sunlight) The transition from living in Memphis to living in Clarksville has been a tough one for me.

So I was looking at the Memphis Ranbats database of matches and I noticed something interesting … Since the beginning of Season 2 and the new points / challenging system, there have only been 32 challenge matches TOTAL. And by total, I mean, there’s only been 28 for MVC3 and a whopping 4 for SF … (wait for it) … IN FIVE MONTHS****. (Well, technically 5 now for SF since I beat O in a challenge MM, suck it) … This is pretty mind-blowing considering two (sometimes three) weeks out of the month there isn’t a Ranbat and there are gatherings on weekends ALL the damn time.

I dunno man, my kid has been doing theory fighter in the womb and he/she looks to be kicking and punching pretty well through my wife’s uterus. I am pretty sure the kid already has frame traps down and somehow has figured out a way to “plink” frames turning 3 frame moves into 2 frame moves. I’m pretty sure my kid is already better than anyone in the Southeast.

Hey people who use Zero in MvC3… (Luis, Wootsick) do you guys bother with OTG assists to extend combos? I’m finding it not working too well due to hitstun decay, it’ll just end the combo soon after the OTG. Unless I try to do a workaround and take out some :h: hits… maybe.

Gimme a little more info Grim. Who are you using on your team? Are you trying for the normal BnBs with Zero? If so, from my experiences, he OTGs fine himself just needs a good assist to hold them for relaunch after.

Zero and Viper… Just doing Zero BnB to knockdown then Seismo OTG but doing jumping :h: > land > relaunch with Zero… if you do too many hits before that then they’ll tech out after the first j. hit

I can give you the exact combo later if you like, don’t have the game on atm

Im just throwing this out, but maybe use a charged buster or use his lighting move to keep getting hard knockdowns after air combos? I know Luis’s combos get stupid long, I think he OTGs with Zero which pops the character up into gustaff fire from Tron, then does… something. Im sure he’ll get on here in a minute and write you a book lol.

Ok so, September 3rd is going to be here before we know it. If several people are interested in going to Memphis, we’ll need to take multiple cars as I can only carry 4 comfortably (5 if Pat goes and wants to roll with me).

So far I’ve got confirmation from Graham and that’s all I know for sure. Billy I know you said you were interested, and I spoke to Andrew (Arson), and he seems to be on board but I’ll get 100% confirmation next week. Gonna talk to Eddie this weekend.

Chris, if you guys bring blankets and whatnot, I can crash 3 or so people on my living room floor and couch.

Alternatively, I would also be down to chip in for a hotel room for you guys. Come to think of it, that’s actually a pretty good option. If we can get a hotel room, then party space would be assured.
