The only thing I consistently do against every Yun I play with Bison is trade/win s.HK when he dive kicks. S.mp can beat light dive kicks but it’s really weird. I would rather trade to reset the spacing since Yun’s health is low.
Bison has no wake up options that Yun does not beat outright. EX PC is lunge punched or whatever the hell it’s called (also the upkicks win). EX scissor, no. Devil Reverse is beat with upkick. Stomp is beat by different neutral jump normals that Yun has (Ford could explain which ones they are, I’m not sure).
Jason has said it’s at least even and I don’t see it. There’s a way to play footsies but once Yun is in, running away is really really hard and mashing reversals just puts you back on the ground. Seriously, I fee like I’m using Dhalsim fighting against Yun with Bison but without all the “reach across the screen” normals.
Anybody got one of those classic kitana skin card things? I’ve got a mileena one I’ll trade for it…

I don’t think it’s even. Against Yun Bison he has to worry dive kick, footsies, and ex lunge punch which is a free in out in the open.
Yun on the other hand has to worry about st hk which he can punish with st hp, st mk, dash fwd, and floaty jumps.
On wake up pressure Bison has to worry about cross up dive kick, same side dive kick, empty dive kick cross up, same side empty dive kick, tick throw, frame traps and command grab. On wake up pressure Yun has to worry about cross up, cr lk, frame traps, and throw.
If Bison could keep Yun out consistently and he can in a straight footsie war but ex lunge punch blows up that option.
His only kinda of safe escape ex stomp loses to dp and neutral jump hp/hk. If he cancels into devil reverse away ex shoulder punishes it.
Yun can afford to wait out his pressure because its not that threatening. Bison can’t take the same risk.

Hey Jacob, what are your thoughts on the viper matchup? You dont have to give me specific pointers or anything if you dont want to, I just want to know how you feel about it… Personally I feel like its pretty even except Yun has the dominating air to air normals and of course his high damage potential off his normals and target combos. SOME of his stuff can be just outright beaten by viper if timed right, and of course she has high damage potential as well…
As much as EX lunge is awesome it’s also completely reactable with forward teleport to reset spacing and make you waste EX.
What would you do after Yun just does the lunge again? That’s the same situation as just blocking
