Ok I’m getting really mad at injustice. Play my friend. And for some reason he insist on jumping into every combo or jumping over me and going for an overhead then starting a combo. Particularly with raven and batman. I keep doing a standing block but sometimes it just doesn’t work. Is it unblockable?
First question, is he hitting you with the jumping attack first? If you are getting hit by that when you feel you should be blocking it, he may be crossing you up. (jumping far enough over you so that he hits you in the back, because you end up blocking the wrong way).
If you are blocking the jump-in then getting hit by the overhead even though you are standing, then I’m not sure, another person may be able to shed some light on this.
Also, and I hope this isn’t the case, I had read that activation frames for blocking are in the engine, that means blocking isn’t instant. so you could simply be blocking too late. I hope I’m wrong though.
Yea it’s the jumping attack . I think It is a cross up. Somebody told me in another forum that I should try blocking the other direction. I’ll try it out today. But it’s really frustrating. It happens a lot in the corner too!
That’s exactly it then. It happens a lot in Street Fighter. Essentially you do have to block the other way, which means when he jumps, you hold forward instead of back, and you will block as he goes over your head. If you know the jump arcs, then it can be easy to see whether a jump is gonna cross over or not. However some players can make the jumps extremely ambiguous, as in its almost impossible to tell at a glance if it’s a crossup or not.
Rules are different from game to game, but I guess Injustice allows you to still crossup in the corner, Marvel only lets you do that with certain characters.

I still can’t develop a decent opinion of injustice. I sat In training for a few hours. And think I’m finally starting to get it. It has a tekken/mk feel. I’m no a fan of mortal kombat tho
Once thing that helped me is realizing the the strings have to be dialed in. However, the special move cancel usually has to be input during the hitting phase of the move you are trying to cancel.
So if you are doing 113 xx qcf1, you enter 113 quickly, wait then input the special during the hit of 3.
Confusing, I know.
GG’s to sev in injustice. Deathstroke is a cheap fucker, and makes the game no fun at all. He’s going to get hit with the nerf stick like no tomorrow. It’s really hard to get around that shit and you can barely jump over his projectiles and Raven can’t use reflect.
